Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, DeepVikas. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page BLS International, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Bsoyka (tcg) 21:42, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My purse is just to add valuable information in a more structured and presentable formant by adding as maximum citation as possible and not to advertise anything. I will strictly follow the Wikipedia Guidelines as mentioned by you. DeepVikas (talk) 16:41, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:DeepVikas, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=DeepVikas|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. GSS💬 06:17, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello DeepVikas, Thank you for disclosing your paid editing status. As per WP:PAID you are required to provide a link to your profile where you advertise your services. This information is necessary for transparency. Could you please share the link? Thank you, GSS💬 16:49, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I didn’t ask for the link to your client’s website. I need you to disclose how you were hired. Do you advertise paid Wikipedia services anywhere? GSS💬 18:29, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No, we got this work through our personal contacts. Primarily we are handling the social media platforms and websites of BLS International, so we offered them to improvise the wikipedia page as a complimentary service. DeepVikas (talk) 18:37, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, as per WP:COI, you aren't allowed to edit articles directly where you have a conflict of interest so please do not edit articles directly. Instead, make an "edit request" on the article talk page. GSS💬 16:54, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have make an edit request at the Article's talk page approx 12 hours ago. How much time does it usually take for the approvals? DeepVikas (talk) 06:00, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
FYI, I've copied your paid editing disclosure above to the correct location. Bsoyka (tcg) 18:56, 30 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
