Image tagging for Image:Copper Front Side Map.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Copper Front Side Map.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Copper Front Side Map.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Copper Front Side Map.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Commons
[edit]Welcome to the project! If you are going to be in the habit of uploading images, you might want to try out another Web site, WikiCommons, as well. In this manner, images can be used across all sister projects, once located there. Yours, Smee 06:02, 6 June 2007 (UTC).
Patrick Henry College GA Review
[edit]Congratulations - this article has been judged (albeit only by me) to meet the good article criteria. I would recommend seeking a Peer Review to get input on how it can be further improved, since, as a frequent editor of the article, it can be difficult to always see any faults. Nonetheless, well done. --Fritzpoll 07:37, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
Patrick Henry College Movie
[edit]I am currently away at Bryan College and have very limited internet access. This is the first time I have actually been able to get on to check everything. I found at Patrick Henry College's site that there is a film being produced at Patrick Henry College about a Patrick Henry College student so I think that should be added to the article but I have got to leave and be at the mess hall in seven minutes so I am incapable of adding it. The link is http://phc.edu/news/docs/20070711Media.asp, also the homepage of the production company is adventfilmgroup.com. Thanks! God Bless, Professor Davies 20:54, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
Amazing job
[edit]Outstanding work on reconstructing the history section. Nicely done.

Fair use disputed for Image:NCFCA Logo.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:NCFCA Logo.JPG. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:23, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use Image:Winter_Park_Trailmap.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:Winter_Park_Trailmap.JPG. I noticed the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template. - On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or a similar) image under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, fair use images which could be replaced by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if not used in an article), per our Fair Use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast 11:00, 25 September 2007 (UTC)

Patrick Henry College
[edit]As a regular contributor to Talk:Patrick Henry College, you may be interested in joining a discussion on Talk:Patrick Henry College on whether to list it as a "non-denominational" college or a "technically non-denominational, but..." college in the article header. --Philosopher Let us reason together. 18:24, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
Also regarding that, I found: http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Patrick_Henry_College&diff=319632127&oldid=319631547
It is acceptable to post Rosin's editorializing, as long as they are labeled as such. Because Rosin had written a prominent book about PHC, I think the article should state her opinions, as her opinions. WhisperToMe (talk) 19:29, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
In regards to your comment: " While the campus is called, that, the reason given (spying on each other) is innacurate. The reason is more because of the size of the campus and relative isolation from the town."
The quote from the God's Harvard book that I am referring to is from Page 128: "Absence breeds mystery, and mystery breeds gossip. If there was one sin all the students at Patrick Henry had to repent, it was spelled out in honor code number six: "I will not spread slander or gossip." The campus dorms were set up in an arc around a lake. Some call this arrangement a "fishbowl" because it facilitated easy spying. Walk with a girl to chapel a couple of times, and within forty-eight hours you'd pick up on rumors that you were courting. With three hundred students, the school was not quite small enough for a feeling of casual family intimacy, and not quite big enough for anonymity. The result could be lethal: Everyone thought they knew you, but they didn't."
- Based on the quote it appears that the layout makes spying easier. Of course it also refers to the number of students, but I was trying to explain how the features of the building are described by the students. WhisperToMe (talk) 19:37, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
In regards to Nathan Poe: http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Patrick_Henry_College&diff=next&oldid=319626753
- I didn't get this from an internet forum, JuicyCampus, a blog, etc. I go this from Rosin's book. From what I know Poe has not sued her for libel. Her book counts as a reliable source. WhisperToMe (talk) 19:39, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi. When you recently edited First Person View, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Pan (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

About First-person view (radio control)
[edit]Hi DebateLord,
I’m a big fan of your site! I found a broken link the other day and wanted to let you know about it.
The page where the link appears is [1] and the anchor text is [The FPV Starting guide].
The broken URL is [2].
I found a similar link for substitutions if you'd like to use it.[3]
Keep up the excellent work!
Thanks! 37.123.198.14 (talk) 09:39, 21 November 2024 (UTC)
