John Henry Whyte
[edit]Hi. Did you know that there was already an article on John Henry Whyte? I guess not, otherwise you wouldn't have started another one. Anyway your version was more comprehensive than the existing one so I've turned it into a redirect to your version. Cordless Larry (talk) 08:48, 23 August 2008 (UTC)
WP:Hornbook -- a new WP:Law task force for the J.D. curriculum
[edit]Hi Madra Argat,
I'm asking Wikipedians who are interested in United States legal articles to take a look at WP:Hornbook, the new "JD curriculum task force".
Our mission is to assimilate into Wikipedia all the insights of an American law school education, by reducing hornbooks to footnotes.
- Each casebook will have a subpage.
- Over the course of a semester, each subpage will shift its focus to track the unfolding curriculum(s) for classes using that casebook around the country.
- It will also feature an extensive, hyperlinked "index" or "outline" to that casebook, pointing to pages, headers, or {{anchors}} in Wikipedia (example).
- Individual law schools can freely adapt our casebook outlines to the idiosyncratic curriculum devised by each individual professor.
- I'm encouraging law students around the country to create local chapters of the club I'm starting at my own law school, "Student WP:Hornbook Editors". Using WP:Hornbook as our headquarters, we're hoping to create a study group so inclusive that nobody will dare not join.
What you can do now:
- 1. Add WP:Hornbook to your watchlist, {{User Hornbook}} to your userpage, and ~~~~ to Wikipedia:Hornbook/participants.
- 2. If you're a law student,
- Email http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/WP:Hornbook to your classmates, and tell them to do the same.
- Contact me directly via talk page or email about coordinating a chapter of "Student WP:Hornbook Editors" at your own school.
- (You don't have to start the club, or even be involved in it; just help direct me to someone who might.)
- 3. Introduce yourself to me. Law editors on Wikipedia are a scarce commodity. Do knock on my talk page if there's an article you'd like help on.
Regards, Andrew Gradman talk/WP:Hornbook 20:18, 31 July 2009 (UTC)
Central Bank and Financial Regulator
[edit]I agree with your suggestion about the merger of the above two entries and am working on it. Give me a little time and all the information will be transferred. As the expression "Financial Regulator" is still in common parlance I would leave it for a little period but suggest that readers are recommended to go the Central Bank entry.
Skreen (talk) 20:32, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
By the way how do you change the name of the organisation (Central Bank) on wikiedia?
Glic16 (talk) 22:35, 26 January 2011 (UTC)
I'd imagine a new page would have to be created (under the institution's new name), and an autoredirect placed on the old page Deathpool4 (talk) 20:53, 28 January 2011 (UTC)

The file File:Ireland Map Armagh Magnified.PNG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 22 October 2019 (UTC)

@Hughesdarren: Many thanks or your help and good work on the article. I have reworked the passage called out and ensured that it draws equally from the three sources used as opposed to relying excessively on one; and there should be no further instances of copying out. I trust all is now in order and thanks also for your other improvements to the article. Madra Argat (talk) 22:50, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
- Hello again, unfortunately the new edits had more copyvio problems. Please do not cut and paste text for sources, you must use your own words ot you will be blocked from editing. Regards. Hughesdarren (talk) 23:31, 7 August 2021 (UTC)
