- Ha ha ha... "dick flicks"... I'll have to use that one. Kafziel Talk 03:23, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Am I doing this right? If I am, can you tell me how to put my pic on my user page? Deadwildcat 03:36, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
- Looks like you're doing okay so far. Here's how to put your pic on your page:
- Click on the "upload file" link in the toolbox on the left side of the page.
- Browse your computer and find the pic you want, choose a free-use copyright tag (GFDL or Public Domain are best) and upload the file.
- Edit your user page; at the top of the page, type the following code:
- Looks like you're doing okay so far. Here's how to put your pic on your page:
- That should put your photo at the top right hand corner of your page, the same way mine is on my page. Typing "left" instead of "right" will put it on the left side. The "200px" means it will be 200 pixels wide at the bottom; change that number to make it larger or smaller. The "thumb" part is just a syntax that puts a frame around the picture and lets you control the size and caption.
- You can also see Wikipedia:Uploading images, Wikipedia:Image copyright tags, and Wikipedia:Extended image syntax. If you want help after you get your picture uploaded, feel free to drop me a line. Kafziel Talk 04:36, 31 January 2007 (UTC)
Image:Ext-Current.jpg
[edit]Hi, someone has tagged Image:Ext-Current.jpg for moving to Commons, but before that's done, can you provide more info about the pic? What building is that? What city is it in? When was the picture taken? Thanks! —Angr 18:55, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, just edit the image description page thus and type in the info. Just something along the lines of "Church ABC in XYZ City. Photo taken by Deadwildcat in 2004" or whatever. —Angr 06:16, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
A suggestion for your user page
[edit]Hello Deadwildcat. I came across your user page and enjoyed reading it. I noticed one thing that I thought that you might want to fix but I did not want to be so presumptious as to do it myself. In your list of British shows that you like your link for Good Neighbors (yes even though it is a British show it was spelled without the "u" when it aired over here) is red. A wikipedia page for the series exists under its British title The Good Life. It is one of my all time favs and anytime that we can get someone else hooked on it I think that is a "Good" thing so if you want to turn your link blue please feel free to add this.
Two more things. First, if you haven't done this already I can highly suggest that you listen to the actors commentaries on the DVD's of the Red Dwarf episodes. They are hilarious and almost as funny as the show itself. Second, I want to wish you much good luck in your quest to see hockey games in all of the teams arenas. That is such a great idea. If you ever get to the Pepsi Center in Denver I can recommend having a drink and a meal at "My Brother's Bar". It is steeped in Denver history as it opened in 1873. Neal Cassady, Jack Kerouac and Alan Ginsburg did some drinking there in the 50's. It is not too far from the arena and, since there are no TVs, there is always good conversation to be had. Well enough of my sales pitch.
Thanks for a fun user page and, again, good luck in your travels :-) MarnetteD | Talk 00:59, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
