Capillary wave dispersion relation

[edit]

I re-inserted an extended version of your derivation sketch, as a collapsible table in the "Derivation" section. Your improvements and comments are welcome. Crowsnest (talk) 21:49, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Beautiful derivation. Now, I am worried it may be too technical for some, but I love it. I will check some of the details when I have the time, I think the integration over x and y should be over their respective lambdas, but these are small details. Also, I wonder if one of the fluids may be neglected, for clarity, adding "the derivation for two fluids is easily extended from this case" or similar at the end. WikiProject Physics participation

[edit]

You received this message because your were on the old list of WikiProject Physics participants.

On 2008-06-25, the WikiProject Physics participant list was rewritten from scratch as a way to remove all inactive participants, and to facilitate the coordination of WikiProject Physics efforts. The list now contains more information, is easier to browse, is visually more appealing, and will be maintained up to date.

If you still are an active participant of WikiProject Physics, please add yourself to the current list of WikiProject Physics participants. Headbomb {ταλκWP Physics: PotW} 14:57, 25 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Capillary waves

Hello, I don't know in which project you are more active so I've asked at SklogWiki. Please have a look. Yrogirg (talk) 18:55, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Music

[edit]

If the music appears somewhere then there needs to be a reliable source discussing it, like there is for the rest of the music.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 19:08, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. I'll try to come up with something. --Daniel (talk) 12:25, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Lorentz transformation, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. - DVdm (talk) 13:03, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dead DVdm, it indeed seems I failed in providing the reference, a book by Stauffer and Eugene_Stanley. I will propose the new derivation in the discussion section, as you suggest. Thanks. --Daniel (talk) 15:50, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Proposed derivation for the Lorentz transformations. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Lorentz transformations. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Lorentz transformations - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Avenue X at Cicero (talk) 15:48, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please, delete that page - I would do it myself if I could (which I think is the case). I created it by mistake, it was intended to be in my sandbox, as a proposal for a section of Lorentz transformation. Best, --Daniel (talk) 19:19, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Taken over

[edit]

Daniel, I have taken over the draft to the article now. Cheers! - DVdm (talk) 08:01, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Stiffened equation of state requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.sklogwiki.org/SklogWiki/index.php/Stiffened_equation_of_state. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Chords

[edit]

The chord section is not very accurate, to put it mildly. First: chord notation is wrong, should be I-ii-V, distinguising major and minor chords. Song structure is too simple: it features verses, pre-choruses, bridges, and chorus. Also, the description is unsupported and may be original work. I plan to correct it along e.g. https://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/tab/keane/somewhere-only-we-know-chords-1871714 Daniel (talk) 19:56, 5 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
