DC Rebel was found by Daniel Botha and his business partner and wife Kayleen Botha in 2018. Daniel Botha was the first to sell the concept of "second life" lithium batteries into Africa. These lithium batteries are modules removed from electric vehicles in countries like Asia that are no longer fit for purpose or can no longer be efficient enough for charging high power busses, trucks etc. Dan Botha found a way to test and verify the application in stationary applications for energy storage that can still last for many years. After successfully creating a wining recipe for a more affordable lithium into South Africa he resigned from a newly created sales company due to false claims of what these modules could and could not do. Dan decided to rather keep his reputation in tact in the lithium industry where he was extremely well know and walked away to start his own honest lithium manufacturing company with his now wife and business partner Kayleen Botha. The couple has since created an extremely well oiled machine in the South African market named DC Rebel (the name suggests to Rebel against bad service, false products and inflated lithium prices) year after year the company shows a growth of record highs breaking each and every sales record from before. After 3 years the company is still only run by this power couple as a force to be reckoned with local to South Africa. The company owns and manufacturers their own inverters and lithium based products. GEN-2 is their high power 13v multi application battery that has broken every test record in Africa. KRAFT is their newest addition that is a high power 7.2 kWh intellectual Berlin Blue nano tech energy monster that out performs most LiFePO4 batteries in South Africa. KRAFT also has a new 6 kWh rack mount version that casters for the telecoms industry.
