Another World
[edit]I've noticed you've been putting some actors in the Another World actors category. Are you a fan of the show? Are there any actors you think I've missed? Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 22:38, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
- My mother was a big fan of Days of our Lives and Another World. When she was a teenager, she wanted to marry Macdonald Carey. ;) With time, though, she stopped watching...Days went first (in her words, "how could that Sam from the two o'clock show play my Bo?), and then Another World (how can Rachel, a woman easily past her change of life, have twins?). I still watch Days from time to time and Another World reruns on the soap channel. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 21:35, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- Also, Harding Lemay, with his background in the theatre, hired and loved working with actors who had those kinds of backgrounds, like Douglass Watson, Connie Ford, and Anne Meacham (my favorite). Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 21:45, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- The Virginia Dwyer article is well-written and free of POV, which is a blessing in the soap department here...all the fans put their gushes and SQUEE!!!!OMGILOVETHISCHARACTER priorities over writing a factual encyclopedia. Thank Goodness for you. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 21:53, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
- Jackée is now in the category. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 22:04, 19 June 2006 (UTC)
I don't know when you stopped watching in the 1980s, but I wrote an article on the actress who played the evil Alma Rudder. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 07:35, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
- I managed to screenshot her appearance on Roseanne and put it in her article. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 17:15, 2 July 2006 (UTC)
- Also, I don't know if you've watched Guiding Light before, but I'm proud of my contributions to the Charita Bauer article, most of which I wrote myself. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 00:27, 3 July 2006 (UTC)
No, not at all! I don't own Another World...write as many articles as you want! I think the ones you've linked are great. Keep me posted on any new things you write. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 03:15, 7 July 2006 (UTC)
I wrote a small stub on little Sally Frame — Cathy Greene, the first actress to play her. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 06:05, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
On aol.com, their In2TV service (which lets you watch classic TV episodes for free) just added a "Procter and Gamble Classic Soaps" channel, with old episodes of Another World, Edge of Night, and Texas. Currently I'm watching AW episode #4081, which seems to be timed around the summer of 1980, because they're telling the story of Iris arriving in Houston. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 15:31, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
- 4082 is a good episode. Mac and Jamie have decided to go through with publishing the book that Janice used to try to kill Mac, and Rachel had a near-meltdown because she didn't want to hear about the whole Janice experience ever again. It was very good acting. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 15:38, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
I wrote a stub on Val Dufour and added Anne Meacham's real birth name to her article. SSDI searches come in handy for little unpublished tidbits like that. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 06:22, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
Thank you!
[edit]Thank you for the positive comments on the 50 greatest game shows page. =) It appears as if the page now redirects to "mine," so thank you for the heads up and the feedback! Chad1m 17:28, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
Thank you for your kind message about the Jan Murray article, to be honest I'd forgotten about starting that one. It's always so much easier to write something about someone when they've died as so much information comes to light in their obituaries. --RMHED 23:43, 20 August 2006 (UTC)
Days of our Lives
[edit]While writing a stub on the first actress to play Julie, I found out that the actress died in a car accident. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 06:18, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

I have moved this article to a new heading Robert Newman (comedian) and have used Robert Newman for a disambiguation page. Dbart 21:36, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
Hi there. What happened was you preformed a cut and paste move - you took the content from the Robert Newman page and pasted it into the Robert Newman (comedian) page. The GFDL requires that we have a log of everyone who edited the page and as such, cut and paste moves are avoided. You should see a "move" button up top (by the edit this page button). I've fixed the move so the history now shows... can you please use that button the future. - Thanks :) -- Tawker 13:55, 29 September 2006 (UTC)
Mary Stuart
[edit]I have done some massive edits to the Mary Stuart (actress) article recently, mostly to the section about her marriage to Richard Krolik and her private life. Take a look at it and tell me what you think. Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 07:36, 3 December 2006 (UTC)
Car accident
[edit]I was in a car accident on December 10. We were rear-ended. We were at a near-complete stop while we were hit at 55 mph. It was a rough two weeks but I am fine, for the most part, now. Thank you for your thoughts. :) Mike H. I did "That's hot" first! 22:33, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
The Porterfield page
[edit]I have not had the chance to expand on the page as much as would like to. My next step is to continue to expand on to his time in New York and what led him to create the Barter Theatre. I'm currently reading the book and taking notes to put on the page. It is taking longer than I would like it to be, but I'm sorry for it's current condition. Maybe I should have started with the Theatre and then continued cover other things in the book.
What would omit from the article?
The reason I started the article like I did, is because there are not many articles out there on Mr. Porterfield and I felt like people should know more about him than just being the founder of the Barter Theatre.
I'm from Glade Spring but now live in another part of the state.
Thanks for your feedback about the article and the corrections that you have done so far. That is one thing about Wikipedia, they do not have a spell check. Rutke421 02:44, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Patrick Tovatt
[edit]He was on ATWT too, wasn't he? Let me read his article. And I didn't have the heart to tell you this right off, but...I became an admin four years ago. :) Mike H. Fierce! 22:31, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm writing here to let you know that I've recently begun a discussion to review the deleted and redirected Category:Gay Wikipedians (which now points to Category:LGBT Wikipedians. instead of being it's own category) If you have the time, please add your thoughts on the deletion review to the current Discussion. [edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Larry Haines, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Another World (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
