Help me!

[edit]

Please help me with... I would like to set up a page on Wikipedia about Dawn Westcott. This is me. I am an author of three books - Wild Pony Whispering, Wild Stallion Whispering and Wild Herd Whispering. I'm really confused about how to do it and I don't want to make any mistakes. Can someone please help me?

I suggest reading through WP:AUTOBIO, WP:TUTORIAL, and WP:Your first article, which are good "introductory" pages about how to write articles. Then, you should use the Article wizard to create a Draft, which will be reviewed by experienced editors after submission. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 14:57, 19 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
A Wikipedia article about you would need to summarize what reliable sources such as newspapers or reputable magazines have reported about you. At a glance at Google News, such sources tend to focus on your pony breeding, not on your authorship, so that would be the focus of a Wikipedia article. However, there are rather few sources overall, and mostly local ones (or passing mentions such as this that don't provide meaninful information about you), so there are notability concerns. My advice would be to gather the three best sources and with them to request a volunteer to write an article about you. Huon (talk) 15:21, 19 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
