License tagging for Image:Marthajones.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Marthajones.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:07, 5 July 2006 (UTC)

January 2008

[edit]

Please stop. If you continue to blank out or delete portions of page content, templates or other materials from Wikipedia, as you did to List of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps characters, you will be blocked from editing. We don't, for example, delete Adolf Hitler because he's dead. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 21:49, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the last warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
The next time you delete or blank page content or templates from Wikipedia, as you did to List of Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps characters, you will be blocked from editing. . He appeared in SIX previous series. That's enough to keep him here. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 21:59, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

OK, then. Winston Churchill is dead; so is Adolf Hitler. By your reasoning, there's no need for us to keep their articles. Please feel free to nominate either for deletion at WP:AFD, and I think you'll quickly find out whether you're right. One more removal of Jonny Keogh, and you go to vandalism reports. --Rodhullandemu (Talk) 22:09, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not undo other people's edits repeatedly, or you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. The three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the 3RR. Thank you.   — Jeff G. Speedy deletion of Iamchemist

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Iamchemist requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
