Your article

[edit]

I wrote the above before looking at your changes. Reading "David Stern's musical leadership is spread across three continents." was enough to revert it, sorry. Please read the Wikipedia biographies of conductors you admire and see if you find "musical leadership" anywhere. It is no encyclopedic style and sounds like being copied from somewhere which raises copyright questions also. - Please go ahead and fix things that are wrong but never with copied material. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:19, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hello David. Please also read my comments at Talk:David Stern (conductor) concerning the copyright violation that has been removed. I also suggest you thoroughly familiarise yourself with the guidelines at Wikipedia:Conflict of interest and Wikipedia:Autobiography and follow them scrupulously. Best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 17:17, 15 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Once again, I removed your pasted-in copyright (and self-serving, unreferenced) material, this time from http://www.ekkehardjung.de/data/other/EJAP-DavidStern-bio-en.pdf. Please read my further comments at Talk:David Stern (conductor), and do not do this again. Voceditenore (talk) 11:12, 16 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification needed concerning your user name

[edit]

Your name, editing pattern, and edit summaries imply that you are either the conductor David Stern or someone representing him. If you are not this person but merely acting on his behalf, you may not edit under this name. Please see Wikipedia:IMPERSONATE for more on this. I also note that User:Opera Fuoco made the same type of edit, with the same edit summary, on the same day (15 June 2016) to fr:David Stern (chef d'orchestre) [1] that you did at David Stern (conductor) [2]. You then returned to the French Wikipedia article the next day as User:David Stern Conductor to continue adding promotional material [3] as you did here on the English Wikipedia [4]. On the English Wikipedia, User: Opera Fuoco, who created both Opera Fuoco and David Stern (conductor), is indefinitely blocked for having a promotional user name.

  • What is your relation to the User:Opera Fuoco account?
  • Are you simply representing David Stern and acting on his behalf?
  • Have you shared the password to the account User:David Stern Conductor with any other person?
