GA review of Devil May Cry...
Or, really, the lack of review, which is why i'm here. I noticed on the log that you gave this article the GA tag, but never actually gave a review of the article, any particular reason why? All articles which are passed are supposed to have a review with them. Homestarmy 19:47, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Well, most people (including me) tend to get edgy when articles get passed without any clear comment, even just a "This is clearly a GA in every way" type of comment is good enough if an article really is, well, good. It's just that alot of times, articles which don't have a review or comment of any kind posted with them tend to end up on the disputes page quite often, and without a visible review, someone might be prone to speedily delist this article, since the rules say that there's supposed to be some kind of message on the talk page. Devil May Cry 3 nominated for Good Article
Yo, I noticed you reviewed Devil May Cry when it was nominated to Good Article so I guess you have knowledge of the series and thus you can do a review the way it should be done, if you have time can you please take a look at Devil May Cry 3? thanks for your time. 凶 02:22, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to WikiProject Dinosaurs!
Hi David,
I saw you recently added yourself to Wikipedia:WikiProject Dinosaurs. Welcome! Judging from what you wrote of your background on the participants subpage, we could use your expertise. The WP:Dinosaurs team includes a number of professionals and others interested in fossil archosaurs, but there are many articles and only a half dozen active editors. Anything you can do to help improve the content is greatly appreciated. Best wishes and happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 00:03, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

AIV report
205.68.101.193 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · filter log · WHOIS · RDNS · RBLs · http · block user · block log) hasn't vandalized in hours. Admins will usually only block when the user has vandalize within the last couple of hours and had a level 3 or 4 warning within the last week. I don't see a current problem with that IP, so I think little would be gained by blocking. — coelacan — 23:14, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- I found that frustrating the first few times I made AIV reports, actually. But if you think about it, a block only helps if it's stopping ongoing vandalism; if they've stopped, there's no benefit. This is what usually works for me: if it's light vandalism, start with {{uw-v1}}, and if they continue, go straight up to {{uw-v4}} (to be honest I find that if the level 1 warning doesn't deter them, 2 and 3 are a waste of time). If it's heavy vandalism, skip level 1 and go straight to {{uw-v4im}} (that's the only warning message). A lot of vandals stop completely once they get a level 4 warning. I couldn't explain the psychology of it, but I've seen it work. If they do one more within a minute or two of the level 4 warning, don't report, that was probably an edit-conflict and they didn't get the orange bar until they'd already vandalized. But any vandalism at all more than a couple of minutes after the level 4, report that, and a block is pretty much assured (and necessary). Hope that helps! — coelacan — 23:24, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks! And feel free to hit my talk page if you need assistance with anything there isn't a noticeboard for. =) — coelacan — 23:34, 16 April 2007 (UTC)

sorry im just starting an article on user page because i cant find how to create my own article. the article is going to be about halo and you are the last one make a edit so its you sorry. article will be on Halo Custom edition maps while there is a Halo CE section already i feel that there should be links to certain maps while this will promote the maps its because these maps are maps the a lot people play. There be nice list for people to see maps that will be most enjoyable. I SRY ABOUT TAKING OVER YOUR USER PAGE I REALLY CAN'T FIRGURE OUT HOW TO GET A NEW ARTICLE STARTED these are maps i can remeber since im not home and this is my outline and i want you to like setup the articles so i can have a page to like put in info. links there is www.halomaps.com and www.h2vista.net (i think this is it) List of Halo Ce maps Coldsnap coldsnap is a massive map snowy mountainious map designed for snipers and vehicles. Its mainly played on ctf due to the opposing bases and size of map its 5 km from flag to flag. Hughass hughass is big map with to opposing bases distances is about 2km between flags. its and players rush toward each teams flag which is in front of bases extinction extinction is a map about 1 km big the map is designed to have coveant weapons and vehicles on red side and human weapons and vehicles on blue side. There is a vast variety of weapons and vehicles making the map extremely popular. There is also a middle battle grounds where snipers attack each other. The map does have a downfall the human side is generally seen as much more powerfull than covanent side in vehicles and weapons which makes the games onsided but covanent do have some things that can potiently even it out if people know how to use them. yoyorast island yoyorast island is a mountain on an island on this mountain is a racetrack there are two symtetrical bases that join to a race track race is noticably fun here while ctf is player it is hard due to flags being so close yet one has to travel whole track to get to flags CMT maps CMT is a group that makes there own maps and are extremely popular halo 2 maps there all or nearly all halo 2 maps able to play in halo 2 format downflow this map has to bases one human other covenant. the map is raining area with forerunner structures bridges and teleporters. The map gives a mysterious feel which has players the desire to explore it. solitude a small medium size map with a layout that makes the designed for walking, there are to vehicles that spawn there that makes it hard though fast flying strong shooting wasps can be hard to control but get control most of map in one portent this map has two bases and a central tower in center this map is fun but can get tedious in ctf because bases are designed to give teams a well protected area PLZ MAKE ARTICLES FOR THESE AND I WILL EDIT THEM FROM THERE i cant find the create article link
other maps shall follow once i get home the maps i will be to get articles for have to be known and fun —Preceding unsigned comment added by Agentheartlesspain (talk • contribs)

Hi David. Some months ago, you set up an RfA page for The Rambling Man. At the time, he wasn't ready. I've now prepared a new RfA, but don't want either to tread all over "your" page (seems discourteous) or to set up a new pagename that'll imply TRMan had a failed RfA under his current name! My elegant solution would be if you could graciously nom your candidate page for speedy deletion. What do you say? --Dweller 14:26, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Herrerasaurus collaboration
Hi David,
Recently, on the dinosaur collaboration page, you stated you'd like to work on expanding or developing Wikipedia's article on Herrerasaurus. The Project just doesn't seem all that interested in working on Triassic reptiles (I'm having great difficulty in generating interest in even Plateosaurus, one of the best-known Triassic dinosaurs), but I'd be more than willing to work in a collaborative effort to improve this article on a really neat herrerasaur. If you're still interested, let me know. Best wishes and happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 05:51, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks for all your edits, David. I know we still need references and such, but I did want to expand the sections first, as I feel it's more difficult to edit after the references are in place. Comparing with longer articles like Stegosaurus, it's clear we still need sections on Origin, Discovery and Species, Pop culture (if that's even possible), and the Paleobiology section is still too short. Any ideas for improvement? Again, thanks for all your work. Firsfron of Ronchester 23:12, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Zelda Oracle articles
Can you please expand on your comments at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Oracle of Ages? You seem to be the strongest opposer of the merge currently, and I'd like to get this resolved post-haste if possible. Pagrashtak 20:55, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- The problem is that a lot of the differences are information that is hardly touched upon on Wikipedia FAs (individual items, dungeons, etc). The merged is still quite trim, and it mentions all the major differences and summarizes each plot, including how they are interlinked. The problem is not the difficulty of keeping them seperate; it's the fact that a lot of the information is redundant and more poorly organized. — Deckiller 21:15, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- Up until the revert to seperate articles, the article had unanimous support. However, because of the recent arguments, I have been suggesting a withdrawal so that it can be settled in a more centralized location. — Deckiller 21:41, 11 May 2007 (UTC)

Image copyright problem with Image:YorktownHigh.jpg
Thank you for uploading Image:YorktownHigh.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. MER-C 05:26, 13 May 2007 (UTC)
Deletion of Charles Levi
I'm sort of surprised that you deleted this article. You said it was like MySpace, but didn't the article meet the notability criteria, but had to be rewritten to sound better. It had around 3 references. He was part of a band with an article on Wikipedia, and he had won an Emmy. If I were to rewrite the article, I'd include only the IMDB reference and I will copyedit and wikify it. Anyhow, do you feel that it meets the criteria, and if it meets it, would you object to me recreating it? (You deleted it in an edit conflict with me trying to remove the speedy template, so I can re-save the page with my revision bypassing your deletion). Evilclown93 13:28, 13 May 2007 (UTC)

Failed GA Nomination of List of Halo series characters
I have failed the GA nomination for this article. Please see Wikipedia:What is a good article?. "Lists, portals, and images are not reviewed by the GA system." As this article is a list, it fails on this reason alone. Hi, User:VanTucky here. I was just browsing the list of those offering adoption and you seemed like a good candidate. I have been around since August 06 and have just over 5,000 edits. - Yeah, I don't need anything fancy. Just to make it habitable. Maybe a blue background instead of tan though? VanTucky 23:02, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
