File source and copyright licensing problem with File:Aug 2011Prospect Gorge.JPG
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:Aug 2011Prospect Gorge.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status and its source. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously.
If you did not create this work entirely yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. You will also need to state under what licensing terms it was released. Please refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file.
Please add this information by editing the image description page. If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ww2censor (talk) 00:13, 6 September 2011 (UTC)

Your recent edits
[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 21:07, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

The article is now available here: User:French Louie/DavidHenrickson you may continue improving it as long as you like. when you are ready to move it into the production area, you can do it yourself or ask post this here to ask for help: {{helpme}} --RadioFan (talk) 17:43, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you for doing that! Twelve minutes later, it was deleted by RHayworth. DavidHenrickson (talk) 10:25, 26 September 2011 (UTC)
- [copied from user talk:RHaworth]. At the time it was deleted, I wasn't real concerned because RadioFan had already copied it to my namespace. He had already warned me it might get deleted. But now, I'm getting more references and different documentation and I realize that you never told me why it was deleted. So what I'm asking is a brief explanation of what you found to be wrong with the article. It happened on September 24th. Thank you. DavidHenrickson (talk) 09:54, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
- Please get my name right! I see that after writing your first message above you did find the userspace draft. RadioFan made a slight mistake which I have corrected by moving the article to User:DavidHenrickson/French Louie. The only thing I deleted was a redirect left behind by RadioFan's move. I never told you why it was deleted because it was not your edit! I felt that the entries visible at French Louie were perfectly clear - I hope you now agree. None of your edits have been deleted. RadioFan's {{one source}} tag explains it all - he felt the article was vulnerable because we require significant coverage in multiple, reliable, independent secondary sources. Personally I prefer web links rather than book links - this one seems a pretty obvious one to add. Add that and a couple more refs, book or web, and the article should be all right. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:53, 27 September 2011 (UTC)

Hi David.... Sadly, that's true sometimes. One of the great things about Wikipedia, though, is that there are always avenues for dealing with editors with whom you find yourself in disagreement. Asking for a third-party editor to review a conflict is often helpful.
Take advantage of the article's "Talk" page. There, you can explain your reasoning for edits and, hopefully, other editors will explain theirs and you can reach consensus. It's not always the easiest process, but it does work. Let me know if I can be of any help!

Hi David, it's great to see that you've enjoyed editing Wikipedia. I would like to invite you to the Wikipedia Teahouse, a place for new editors to get to know one another and ask questions. It's a great place to be; I hope to see you there.

It takes awhile to get used to the culture of Wikipedia! Don't give up, though. In time it will start to make more sense.
