Hello DatGuy. I happened to see the comments you wrote about this dispute at WP:AN3. What would you think of increasing the existing WP:BLPDS protection from semi to extended-confirmed? It may be that this article has been targeted by social-media nonsense. There are some related comments about the age dispute here on article talk. EdJohnston (talk) 13:26, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

@EdJohnston: An indefinite extended-confirmed protection seems appropriate here to me. About a tenth of the last 250 edits seem to have actually been constructive, and the majority of them have been by extended confirmed users. DatGuyTalkContribs 13:31, 2 September 2022 (UTC)
That was easy, now done. EdJohnston (talk) 14:07, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

Revoke TPA

Hey! Could you revoke the TPA of the IP 208.108.121.21? They don't appear to be using their talk page properly while blocked. ― Blaze WolfTalkBlaze Wolf#6545 13:31, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

Done. DatGuyTalkContribs 13:33, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

Shirt

I'm late with the congratulations, but it looks like no-one gave you the shirt, so here you go :) --Ferien (talk) 20:40, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

213.124.169.228

Hi DatGuy,

I saw you've blocked this IP address for 31 hours - thanks for that. The user did not only attack Deltaspace42, but also left me a not so pleasant message in Dutch on my talk page (and he's done it before under another IP address). I therefore think an even larger block wouldn't be unjustified. Cheers, Eem dik doun in toene (talk) 12:25, 3 September 2022 (UTC)

The reason the block is 31 hours is not because of the severity of the offense, but because owners of IP addresses frequently change, and so anything longer will most likely just affect the next person who leases the IP address and not the intended target. If the IP editor would be a registered user, they would of course be indefinitely blocked. DatGuyTalkContribs 12:30, 3 September 2022 (UTC)

User:46.1.8.133 vandalizing their talk page

46.1.8.133 (talk · contribs) has been using their talk page to make gross edits. As the blocking admin, could you revoke their talk page access, please? Liliana (UwU) 23:41, 3 September 2022 (UTC)

General Roman Calendar

Hi DatGuy -

I notice that you blocked user Ann Teak, but here is the problem, without the dates involved the General Roman Calendar of 1960 has, for instance, the Feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian on September 27 BUT accorded to the General Roman Calendar (current) the Feast of Saints Cosmas and Damian falls on September 26 ... I find that Wikipedia is confusing the readers with not having the dates ... Bob Tarver (talk) 01:12, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

That's clearly a controversial issue that's not for me personally to decide - reach a consensus at Talk:General_Roman_Calendar#WP:NOTDIRECTORY. DatGuyTalkContribs 03:03, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

User talk:Peonydanvers

Hi DatGuy. Would you mind taking a look at User talk:Peonydanvers? You indefinitely blocked their account and another administrator subsequently took away their TPA; so, there seems little point in anyone collapsing threads or responding to posts. -- Marchjuly (talk) 12:13, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

New page reviewer question

So, what do you mean my votes in WP:AFD aren't helping? I vote in afd quite often.20:39, 11 September 2022 (UTC) `~HelpingWorld~` (👽🛸) 20:39, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

@HelpingWorld yes, you !vote rather often, but comments such as Delete, per nom don't really contribute anything to the discussion. Remember, Wikipedia isn't a popular vote. DatGuyTalkContribs 19:06, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
Oh I understand now, I will start adding more to my votes. Thanks for the feedback @DatGuy.`~HelpingWorld~` (👽🛸) 02:13, 14 September 2022 (UTC)

Brahmāstra: Part One – Shiva

Hey there, could you restore the previous protection on this page? It must have been overidden when the page was fully protected due to edit-warring (which expired today). There is an influx of newly registered and IP editors making unconstructive edits. DeluxeVegan (talk) 22:08, 11 September 2022 (UTC)

Just saw this randomly... I re-applied the previous semi-protection yesterday [1]. DanCherek (talk) 20:55, 13 September 2022 (UTC)
