Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. This is a notice to inform you that a tag has been placed on BruceLeecard.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, images, a rephrasing of the title, a question that should have been asked at the help or reference desks, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello!

[edit]

Hi, Darrin8! My name is MJ94 and I am the person who tagged BruceLeecard.jpg as a candidate for speedy deletion. The CSD criterion that the article fell into at the time of its original deletion was CSD A3 (which means that there was no encyclopedic content on the page). I saw your message on my talk page and I would like to assure you that you haven't caused harm to Wikipedia. All articles need to meet certain requirements in order to stay on Wikipedia. For example, article subjects should be considered notable. In addition, the articles themselves need to have reliable sources and be written from a neutral point of view. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me or utilize another venue of assistance. I would also suggest checking out The Teahouse and Your First Article. I hope to see you around Wikipedia and thank you for your message. Welcome! Best, MJ94 (talk) 04:27, 19 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hey I just wanted to let you know why Malik Shabazz sent you this message. On the Jewish history article you changed BCE to BC several times, which he changed back. While we don't prefer BC or BCE over each other, we try to keep the entire article the same. So when you would change BCE to BC, it would make those spots look different than the rest of the article. It is possible to change all of the instances of BCE to BC, but I would discuss it on the talk page before trying to do that. If you ever need help with anything, or anyone gives you a hard time, please feel free to leave a message on my talk page. I'm always happy to help. Also welcome to Wikipedia!
