Information icon Hello, I'm DrStrauss. I wanted to let you know that I reverted one of your recent contributions —the one you made with this edit to Beauty and the Beast (2017 film)— because it did not appear constructive. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. DrStrauss talk 17:56, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I will first make it constructive and edit at one go before I add them back here. Thanks for pointing out. User:DarrenSavio 23:38, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at The Great Wall (film), without citing a reliable source using an inline citation that clearly supports the material. The burden is on the person wishing to keep in the material to meet these requirements, as a necessary (but not always sufficient) condition. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. CityOfSilver 19:03, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at The Great Wall (film). CityOfSilver 19:08, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

First of all the source is already in the "box office" section. There's an entire paragraph writing about the film's loss of $75 million theatrically with a reliable source. We don't need an additional source at the top since it's just an overview of the main body. Second, i was going to provide another reliable source because it's a big claim and we need big proof until you removed you and I had to add it again, and third just because a movie made twice its production budget doesn't mean its a hit. I guess you're new to all these budget and box office realm. So lemme give u a small presentation; Box office = $301 million, production budget = $150 million ($80 million spent on global P&A by Universal Pictures). North American total will not be more than $40 million (current $36 million). So that means 50-50 split gives us $20 million. The film made over $170 million in China. Split ratio there is 25/75 but since it's a co-production, that means a 40/50 per Chinese rules, so $75 million from China. The rest of the international markets leaves us with around $95 million, and a 50/50 split gives us around $48 million. So now the real math (counting the net revenue deducted from the gross revenue) – $20 million + $75 million + $48 million = $143 million. Total production budget (sans tax rebates) = $230 million. So $230 million minus $143 million gives us a loss of $87 million. But since box office pundits argue that the total gross will end up at $320 million, the loss will be lesser, coming down to – as stated in the links – between $70–75 million. No hard feelings but I have been analysing box office for over 5 years so I know what these guys are saying and I authenticate them myself before writing them in wikipedia. I respect wikipedia and would not do anything out of the ordinary to add rubbish claims. Thank you.

Request reason:

Ok, dis is insane. 5 days in wiki n I'm already accused wt such harsh vitriol. First of all I'm a novice. This is apparent in my inability to perform anything except edit. Just bcuz I have some uncanny resemblance with this person doesn't make me him/her – just because Jessica Chastain looks like Bryce Dallas doesn't mean she's Brice and just because Amy Adams looks like Isla Fisher doesn't mean Isla is Amy (same with Katy Perry/Zooey and Carrie Underwood/Emily Osment and Tom Hardy/Marshall-Green). My robust box office coverage arises solely because of my interest in da movie Logan after seeing it. And da truth is, before I started 2 write here in wiki, I needed some guideline and help (ok I'm guilty of not properly reading the guidelines thoroughly – dat u can punish me). So back to the main topic. So before editing, like I said, Logan had its entire page almost all covered except for the box office part (I've already said dis). So I read box office portions of other wiki articles like Deadpool, Suicide Squad and BvS n XMen Apocalypse. I just copied those writing style that's all (is that a crime, a sin? Infront of wiki hmmm). Maybe I should have choose to copy the writing style of box office in Titanic or xxx: Return of Xanger Cage of Fifty Shades Darker, but I was checking out only previous super hero movie pages. Maybe dt is why him/her and me have some resemblance in editing style and all. I don't think its fair that I get punished 4 dat. I'm sorry if Wikipedia disallows users to copy writing style of other wikipeidians or if wiki forbids robust box office coverage. I'm sorry for not being original, for not being circumspect. Ok. Please. I feel like Lupita Nyong'o in 12 Years a Slave, being punished for being accused so something she didn't do. If I did some mistake, mujhe maaf karna. 🙏🙏🙏
