Too Bad

[edit]

Too bad very few bands use this format and "yyyy-Present" is used on most band pages, right? TheSickBehemoth (talk) 22:09, 29 March 2009 (UTC)TheSickBehemoth[reply]

Doesn't necessarily mean they're right. But there was a reason an admin came along and used the onward format in at least one particular article. Dark Prime (talk) 22:21, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You inappropriately removed the in-universe template from Obi-Wan Kenobi. Please look at WP:WAF for the guidelines about what is and isn't "in-universe" writing. The Kenobi article is, in fact, overwhelmingly in-universe. Padme_Amidala and Palpatine are examples of articles that strike an appropriate balance between in-universe plot summary and (more important, and on what Wikipedia focuses) real-world concepts, development, and critical reaction. --EEMIV (talk) 17:16, 19 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gorgoroth br tags

[edit]

No problem, as I just rv vandalized text, it was very easy to think it was art of the vandals work I did not see ;) However, you were right, I thought that the br tags fixed the problem,, but it's not the case in all "situations", so I removed them myself ;) My config use 1024x768, and what I see is the Gorgoroth line-up history table continuing under the References title, making the size for all refs very small. In fact it depends on the size used for the navigator, and if there's a sidebar or not. My guess is that it's related to the fact the Wikipedia server use the width for the first columns for all the columns in a reflist. I think that it could be better to have a table with 4 columns instead of only 2 for the rather long line-up history (2 years columns) which would allow us to avoid to put the table on the right. Then it would use the whole space, and never "steal" any width for subsequent paragraphs. Hervegirod (talk) 11:01, 8 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Little Favor

[edit]

Could you not spam my page, please? I did not "vandalize" anything since I am on Wikipedia to improve pages and expand it. If this continues, I will report you. Thank you. TheSickBehemoth (talk) 01:36, 12 May 2009 (UTC)TheSickBehemoth[reply]

I'm not spamming your page. I've cited wikipedia policy and this has already been carried out by an administrator, but since you keep ignoring this I'm treating you as a troll and a vandal. Dark Prime (talk) 09:13, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You could have simply told me to read the guidelines without calling me a vandal, you know, or even pasting a warning label on my page. I was not aware of it, and now that I am, I will not break the rules. Simple as that. I have a suggestion for you: please grow up and don't accuse people of doing things without getting to the bottom of it. Once you have grown up, perhaps you can apply that lesson not only to Wikipedia, but to your everyday life. Hope I have helped. :) TheSickBehemoth (talk) 19:30, 12 May 2009 (UTC)TheSickBehemoth[reply]
I did tell you multiple times. I pasted it on your talk page. Dark Prime (talk) 20:40, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh wait, I see you just removed that message from your talk page which I pasted there from WP:DATE to tell you beforehand, so you could retroactively justify yourself and lecture me on "growing up" etc. Dark Prime (talk) 20:45, 12 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
(from talk page guidelines, for the record):*Do not misrepresent other people: The record should accurately show significant exchanges that took place, and in the right context. This usually means:
Be precise in quoting others.
When describing other people's contributions or edits, use diffs. The advantage of diffs in referring to a comment is that it will always remain the same, even when a talk page gets archived or a comment gets changed.
As a rule, do not edit others' comments, including signatures. Exceptions are described in the next section. Dark Prime (talk) 17:16, 16 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:LOTR78 Saruman.PNG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:LOTR78 Saruman.PNG. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. FASTILY (TALK) 00:22, 14 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Diabolisinterium.jpg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Diabolisinterium.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.   — Jeff G. (talk|contribs) 00:34, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Biographies of living persons

[edit]

We have to be mindbogglingly careful on that topic, Dark. I would have added the ref to the article once you provided it, but somebody beat me to it. --Orange Mike | Talk 18:47, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Dark Prime! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 105 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Chaq Mol - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Speedy deletion of Template:God Seed

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:God Seed requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. Dark Prime (talk) 22:35, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Wrath of the Tyrant, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Wrath of the Tyrant. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Music date task force

[edit]

Hi Dark Prime, I found the above via the All pages with prefix tool ([1]) and note you are the sole member. Rather than revive an old task force, would you be interested in helping me rationalise all the Music MoSes? I am presently auditing them as part of a wider drive to make sense of all the MoSes. See WT:MOS for more info. Any help appreciated! Cheers --Jubileeclipman 20:57, 4 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Black Metal talk page

[edit]

I doubt this edit to be legitimate, since you edited a comment made by another user than you (unless this is an older user account of yours or you reverted someone else’s illegitimate edit, of course). --217/83 23:42, 1 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for reverting your own edit, see above. By the way, I have asked an administrator to move the deleted Ofermod article to User:H. 217.83/Construction site, and started to update it. If you want to participate, feel free to do so. --217/83 22:07, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don’t really want to bother you with such crap, but could you take a look at the Nifelheim article’s history and the related section on my talk page? --217/83 22:49, 23 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please check the wikipedia notice board for edit warring as well. --Williamsburgland (talk) 00:06, 24 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I never head about these rumours; if any of the rumour stuff is worth reading (both the Hat and the Jordison story), feel free to give me some links. --217/83 11:34, 14 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The file File:GraveLondon2008.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

orphaned image, low quality, no encyclopedic use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
