And Yet They Paused

Hi, Dare21. I've taken a look at your draft and I have three suggestions:

Simplify the setting section so it talks about where the play is set more generally. The reader doesn't need to know which scenes (in scene order) are set where, just where the play itself was set. If it is set in various locations between Mississippi and DC, then all we need to do is say that.
I would considerably shorten the plot summary section. Take a look at this guide on how to write a plot summary and see if you can shorten your summary to a 2-4 paragraphs. Don't break out into sections for each act unless it's absolutely necessary for the reader to follow the summary (it probably won't be).
The section you have on Johnson's Lynching Dramas makes more sense to be in her article than one on a particular play. Find what part of that section directly relates to the play (which is what the reader wants to learn more about) and leave those in. Take the rest out or add it to her page (in small doses, since there are already bits about this there).

I think if you do those three things I'll be able to move this article in the mainspace. Looks fine otherwise. Let me know if you need a hand or have any questions. Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:42, 11 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
