Adoption
[edit]Hi Dansong,
I saw that you requested adoption, and thought that perhaps you may be looking for someone to ask questions to. If you wanted, I could try?
Matty.007 16:32, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
Hi Matty,
Yeah, just want to know more editing stuffs and also how to become an administrator?
cheers
ArunBudhathoki 16:41, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
What sort of editing things did you want to know? There are some useful gadgets which you can enable at the top, by going to "preferences", "gadgets". You can apply here, there are no criteria to fulfill, but there is a guide. It is also stated that " requests for adminship from users who do not have considerable experience are not usually approved", and " Before requesting or accepting a nomination, candidates should generally be active and regular Wikipedia contributors for at least several months, be familiar with the procedures and practices of Wikipedia, respect and understand its policies, and have gained the general trust of the community." This is from Wikipedia:Administrators.
Also, did you agree to be adopted by me on Wikipedia, or were you just asking some one off questions?
Hope I helped, if you have any more questions put them on talk pageMatty.007 17:26, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
Hi Matt
Yes, I would like to get adopted by you on Wikipedia. Looking forward to it.
cheers ArunBudhathoki 17:41, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
Thanks Arun, if you have any questions just post them on my talk page. The same with any collaborations on anything.
Thanks, Matty.007 17:44, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
It's me again Arun. As I am your Wikipedia adopter, I need to set you assignments once in a while. As soon as I read your reply to this message, I will set you an assignment.
Matty.007 15:19, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
Hello Wikipedia adopter...looking forward to the assignment!

Adoption
[edit]Hi Dansong,
I left you some questions here. I left you a resource as well (in the making) as I had some time! Feel free to complete it whenever, so long as it is before this weekend!
Thanks, Matty.007 18:56, 3 June 2013 (UTC)
Hi Matt,
Thanks for the questions. I'll make sure to reply asap.
cheers ArunBudhathoki 05:53, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletions
[edit]Please be more careful when tagging articles for speedy deletion. Both Mayflower scouts group and BSRM had incorrect speedy tags. The first did deserve speey deletion, but not as A1 or G7, but as A7. The second was correctly rejected by another editor as not meeting any of the speedy criteria you added (or any other ones for that matter). Fram (talk) 09:31, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
Hello there,
My apologies for the BSRM but it lacks many things!
thank you Arun Arun Budhathoki 09:33, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
- An article may be very short and incomplete, as long as it is clear what it is about. The version you tagged for deletion read "The Bangladesh Steel Re-Rolling Mills, abbreviated as BSRM, is the oldest and largest steel producer in Bangladesh. Owned by the Ismaili Africawala family, it is based in Chittagong" (with two sources). From this, it is clear what the article is about, and it has clear claims to importance ("oldest and largest in Bangladesh"). If, in such a case, you believe that the article should be deleted anyway, you can always use WP:PROD or WP:AFD instead, but please don't use those just because the article isn't very good yet, but only when you think that it violates WP:N or WP:NOT or a similar content policy or guideline instead. It is better to keep too many articles than to delete too many, and it is better to have an article for a bit longer than to delete it too soon (exceptions are copyright violations, creations by banned users, attack pages, and hoaxes). Fram (talk) 09:44, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
Hello there,
I will keep in mind what you said so won't do it in future. It's my mistake. Would you please rather make the article on BSRM more lengthy and with enough references?
thank you, Arun Arun Budhathoki 09:47, 11 June 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Arun Budhathoki
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Arun Budhathoki requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content or organised event, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Jpcohen (talk) 03:16, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
This article is about an emerging Nepali poet so why nominate for deletion rather than try to improve it? Doesn't make any sense! Please re-consider your appeal.
regards. Daniel Song 06:54, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
Removing Speedy at Arun Budhathoki
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for taking the time to contribute.
I'm a bot designed by another Wikipedia editor, and I'm here to help you with our deletion process. I noticed that while working on an article recently, you removed a speedy deletion template that tagged it for deletion. Don't get discouraged! Deletion discussions happen on Wikipedia all the time.

The link will take you to the talk page, where you can explain why the article should be kept. If you have any questions about this or need help with editing, you can ask at the Help desk.
We really hope you'll stick around to help make Wikipedia better! Thank you, - SDPatrolBot (talk) 07:09, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
Hello there,
I've commented on the Talk Page as why it shouldn't be removed...it's about an emerging Nepali poet so hope you understand...Please check the sources and all of them are genuine!

Your recent edits
[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Adoption
[edit]Hi Dansong22,
Out of interest, have you ceased to be a Wikipedian? I was just wondering, as you haven't edited for a few weeks. If you want to not be adopted any more, just say, but if you have ceased to edit, that's fine too. Just wondering!
Matty.007 14:03, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
- Hey Matt
- Sorry about my disappearance! Was tied up with work and so forth, so I haven't given up on editing or being a Wikipedian. I am thinking to start working on Nepal National Cricket Team.
- cheers
- dansong22
- That's fine. Will you continue with the adoption course, or just come back occasionally with queries? Matty.007 17:35, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
I'm certainly continuing with the adoption. For some reasons I'm not allowed to edit. I don't know what's the problem! Is it server problem?
Skord 17:53, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
I can edit talk pages but not articles! Why? This message pops out: Error: You have been blocked from editing
Skord 18:00, 15 July 2013 (UTC)
i can edit now...am working on it to improve it

- Hi Dansong, I noticed that you haven't edited in a while, and wondered if you were still around, and still wanting adoption? Thanks, Matty.007 16:44, 31 August 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:17, 4 February 2017 (UTC)
