Hi, DBR. I had to edit or delete several of your recent comments, especially those related to Deirdre McGill. Since McGill currently is not notable enough to have her own article, it doesn't make sense to add material related to her to other people's articles. If she does receive an article, then you can add those comments back in. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks, Aristophanes68 (talk) 19:01, 28 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

How do I disagree with this editor's assumptions? I was in the middle of documenting my changes with back up research to support my edits.

You may want to include that research as soon as you add the material (instead of adding it later), so that editors can see that it's at least factual as soon as you post it, especially since it's not common knowledge to most readers. But there's still a problem of whether Ms. McGill is important enough to be mentioned in these articles at all, especially since she doesn't have her own article. You might need to create an article for her first, so that you can demonstrate why it's so important to mention her connection to Kuchar, Linney and Rooney. Even then, you want to make sure the reference to McGill makes sense within the article. The Linney article doesn't mention any other actors with whom he worked over his long career--surely he's met a lot of notable performers--why single out McGill? You really have to make a strong case that these references are super-significant in the context of the articles. Lastly, your big paragraph on Kuchar is relevant, but you should add inline citations to show your sources--the comparison to John Waters, for instance, really needs to be sourced to be appropriate to Wikipedia. I hope these reasons make sense. Aristophanes68 (talk) 16:39, 29 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Deirdre McGill, from its old location at User:DannyBoyROse/new article name here. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. North America1000 05:11, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
