[edit]Hi Danish Iqbal Raina! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Akbar Masood that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of User:Danish Iqbal Raina
[edit]Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:Danish Iqbal Raina requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Prof.Jawaid Iqbal
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Prof.Jawaid Iqbal requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from amu.ac.in/faculty/west-asian-studies-and-north-african-studies/jawaid-iqbal. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
- Done . Plz get this through Danish Iqbal Raina (talk) 09:03, 31 December 2024 (UTC)
- First of all, it's not a matter of my "getting this through". It is your responsibility as the creating editor to make sure that the article is well sourced and referenced before it's published, particularly as this is a biography of a living person, for which the standards required are high and rigorously checked. I see that Wikishovel is planning to move it to draftspace, which I think is a good idea. I strongly recommend that you work on the article there, making sure that it is properly sourced and referenced using reliable and independent sources, before you decide to publish it back to mainspace. Cheers, SunloungerFrog (talk) 09:55, 31 December 2024 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Danish Iqbal Raina. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template), including links or details of reliable sources that support your suggestions;
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicizing, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Wikishovel (talk) 09:14, 31 December 2024 (UTC)

Hello, Danish Iqbal Raina, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Mohsinkhawajajk (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Wikishovel (talk) 08:53, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- i don't have multiple accounts. I m purely on an academic activity. Danish Iqbal Raina (talk) 08:56, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

- I have no personal relationship with him. Please understand that the Article which I have created is for the Vice Chancellor of a Public University. This information is an open source. This is not for any kind of promotion. Since he has joined as new Vice Chancellor, that is why his account has to be embedded in the account of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University which is already available. This is a routine job. You are once again requested to kindly allow the changes that I have made. Looking forward to your kind cooperation Danish Iqbal Raina (talk) 09:28, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Jawaid Iqbal (professor). This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Points to note:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Wikishovel (talk) 10:09, 3 January 2025 (UTC)

January 2025 - Copyright violation
[edit]Hello Danish Iqbal Raina! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words.
