Replaceability
Hey, I just wanted to let you know that CD Covers are not considered replaceable, as there is nothing else out there that would give the same information. In fact, the fact that it is not replaceable is the very reason that we're allowed to use it here on Wikipedia - because we need to show what it looks like, and there's nothing else that we can use. So when you're doing that Fair Use rationale template in the future, be sure to set the "Replaceability" field to no. Thanks! tiZom(2¢) 16:29, 18 May 2007 (UTC)
Re: Здравствуйте
Привет, я эмигрировал из Одесси когда мне било девать лет. Although my reading comprehension remains satisfactory, my capacity for fluent communication has deteriorated greatly since then. I've spoken and thought in English for so long that it seems dishonest to claim Russian as a native language. To turn the tables a bit, where did you learn English? :) ˉˉanetode╦╩ 15:20, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- Your English is great, I'd say that you're well on your way to becoming bilingual. Practicing conversation is probably the best method of accomplishing fluency; if it wasn't for speaking with my family, I would have forgotten Russian years ago. It's nice to see you editing here on en.wiki, let me know if you ever need any help. Cheers, rˉˉanetode╦╩ 17:33, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
Linking
Internal links shouldn't be overdone. The rule of thumb isn't that the same term should be linked once a paragraph (as your edit summaries imply that you think). --Mel Etitis (Talk) 21:00, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
- This was what made me think that you'd misunderstood the guideline. --Mel Etitis (Talk) 08:32, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
RFA
Hey there. I just thought I'd offer you a suggestion. You recently posted a RFA, and thats great, but it's way too early. You've got the right mindset, but unfortunately your chances of getting anyone other than yourself to support you are nil. Come back when you have a lot more edits and experience, and it'll be a different story. Until then i suggest you retract your request for now, to avoid any potentially hurtful opposition responses. If you need any help with anything, just let me know. Ganfon 17:11, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Your RFA
I regret to inform that I have closed your RFA early at (2/9/0) per WP:SNOW since the oppose votes where piling on and there was no chance of it succeding. However, I strongly encourage you to not be put down by your failed RFA, and seek an editor review, as it will be more appropriate right now. However, I appreciate your enthusiasm right now in helping in that category, and I encourage to seek a new nomination in three to four months at the very least. Evilclown93 20:16, 28 May 2007 (UTC)
Response
Well, you might want to wait a drop longer than that. People usually do not vote for a person to be an admin. solely based on time. I for example, made the same mistake you did. When I first became a user I immediately wanted to become an admin., so I put out a self-nom, only to retract it a few hours later. Here I am over a year later. Still wanting to be an admin, but 1000 edits wiser. So let me put it to you like this. If in three months you've racked up a bare-minimum 1000 edits, have an area of expertise where you can be helpful, know the policies, and have interacted with other users...you'll probably do a lot better. But I think you'll find to get a successful nom, you'll have to stick around for a lot longer. But don't worry! Hang in there and get involved. You'll get there one day. Your Editor Review
Hello. I just saw your request for an editor review. I'm already working on my review for you. I'm just here to recommend you check out Wikipedia:Admin coaching, as I saw that you stated that you were planning on requesting adminship in the future. Thank you. Happy editing! Yours truly, Boricuaeddie Spread the love! 03:24, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
Re: Thanks
I just wanted to thank you for your latest Eminem article revision, although it wasn't huge, it made the article better very much. Neither hardcore hip hop nor pop rap are genres, they're styles and I actually hate when a style is written in "genre" section. Thanks! Daniil Maslyuk 15:54, 27 May 2007 (UTC)
- No worries. If only people would focus on more important things in the Eminem article such as citing sources! Spellcast 02:17, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Hi Daniil. Why have some dates with commas and others without? It's much better to keep a consistent format. The MoS says the comma is generated whether it's put in or not, so I don't see the need to insert a comma when the software does it for you. Spellcast 06:41, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
I'd also like to thank you for your edit on Young Buck. Just thought I'd send you a message because I think there's a very good chance your edit will be reverted by user "The-G-Unit-Boss", who continually ignores the WP:MoS. Spellcast 04:21, 8 June 2007 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Greatest hit.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Greatest hit.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Non-free use disputed for Image:50 Cent featuring Nate Dogg - 21 Questions - CD cover.jpg
This file may be deleted. |
Thanks for uploading Image:50 Cent featuring Nate Dogg - 21 Questions - CD cover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —♦♦ SʘʘTHING(Я) 10:27, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Your contributions violate Template:Infobox Album
See how they format an album infobox, then come back. I know admins and other Wikipedians that use commas, and if you take a look at the second example, you use spaces between. Simple as that. --- Realest4Life 12:38, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- They might not be used in most cases, like you said, usually you do not use them, this is probably that one time when you do use them, I will use this template as it is the only template or anything that tells you exactly how to format an album infobox. --- Realest4Life 12:43, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Also, just because the first Dr. Dre album do not use them, it does not mean they are correct, you do not use other articles as examples unless they were featured and everything is perfect about them. By the way, don't you mean "slashes"? "/"= slash. --- Realest4Life 12:45, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- It's OK, I'm foreign too, but look at the InfoBox Template, that is how they use it, see the second example? It is not just me, other Wikipedians use that template as an example, an administrator told me I should use that template as an example for when you format album infoboxes. --- Realest4Life 12:53, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Right, well, do what you want to do. --- Realest4Life 13:00, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Is there a difference between the two? --- Realest4Life 13:07, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- I'll agree with whichever one you want me to agree, now go and do whatever editing must be done. --- Realest4Life 13:13, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- By the way, if you fix Detox, you might as well fix Straight Outta Ca$hville, N*gger Noize, Curtis (50 Cent album), Strength and Loyalty, Buck the World, You Know What It Is Vol. 4: Murda Game Chronicles, The Reformation (album), U Ain't Goin' Nowhere, and Get Rich or Die Tryin' (soundtrack)... I think that's most of them, there might be more but I only named the ones in my watchlist. --- Realest4Life 13:20, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
Help me save the G-Unit Feuds article as somebody has put it up for deletion.
I have added my reason for it to be kept but we need some support.

Fair use rationale for Image:Sacred_love.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Sacred_love.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 12:39, 1 July 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image (Image:1541728557a2017418923b888299533l.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:1541728557a2017418923b888299533l.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Springbob Squirepants 00:39, 7 July 2007 (UTC)

Album covers
Hi Daniil, I noticed you uploaded some lower resolution versions of album covers (which you've done a good job at). It'd be a good idea to tag the image with {{non-free reduced|August 8, 2007}} (obviously replacing it with the current date). This tags the image under Category:Rescaled fairuse images and allows sysops to delete the old version. Cheers. Spellcast 00:32, 8 August 2007 (UTC)
