Speedy deletion of "Meldon Quarry railway station"
[edit]A page you created, Meldon Quarry railway station, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it has no content, other than external links, categories, "see also" sections, rephrasing of the title, and/or chat-like comments.
You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Speedy deletion nomination of Webberbus
[edit]A tag has been placed on Webberbus, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. -Zeus-u|c 22:24, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

References for Yeovil
[edit]Thanks for your addition of information about bus services to Yeovil and other articles. Would it be possible for you to add references to reliable sources for the information you are adding, as I'm hoping to submit Yeovil for GA soon and one of the things the reviewers always look for is information to be supported by appropriate citations. If this can't be done the risk is that the information will be removed before the nomination.— Rod talk 07:56, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
Good Work So Far, And Some Suggestions
[edit]I just wanted to say how pleased I am that someone's finally creating articles for bus operators in South West England. This area has been quite badly covered until recently (see this page for a list of companies without articles) so it's good that someone's addressing this. However, there are some things you could improve. Please don't add red links to templates, as you did to Template:Bus companies in South West England; wait until you've created the article - there's always a chance something might go wrong and the article might end up not existing, as happened to Webberbus. Also, try to find a few more reliable sources for your information. The operator's web page, while useful, isn't enough by itself. Otherwise, good work. Any chance of an article on Quantock Motor Services? Alzarian16 (talk) 17:24, 2 March 2010 (UTC)
- Follow-up to this: Please, try to create the article before you add it to the template. Templates with lots of red links on are generally frowned upon. I've had to remove most of them as there is no guaruntee that they'll ever have articles to link to. On the other hand, it's great to know that you intend to create this many articles, so good luck! Disambiguation link notification
[edit]Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:40, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
Replaceable fair use File:National Express Coventry Route 11X.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:National Express Coventry Route 11X.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Eeekster (talk) 20:36, 23 April 2013 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
