You may want to change your username.

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to wikipedia. I wanted to drop you a quick line and ask you to take a look at our username policy regarding company/group names. I went ahead and created your account, as you requested, since the policy reads as follows. "Use of a company or group name as a username is not explicitly prohibited, but it is not recommended, and depending on the circumstances may be seen as a problem." The reason for this policy is that many people come to wikipedia with a company name for their username to promote their company. That is something that's not allowed by our policies. (Even on your own user page, it's not okay to promote a company or services.) It would be best for you to choose a different username. You can do that at our signup page. As it's not a direct policy violation, you can keep this username if you like, but be aware that admins are more likely to block company-name accounts for apparent self-promotion and your edits will probably be subjected to more scrutiny than a typical user's edits. Lastly, whether you stay with this name or another, please see the business FAQ section for an introduction to wikipedia geared for businesses. Thanks again for joining, and I wish you the best while here, whatever username you use. ⇔ ÆS dt @ 19:25, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
