Welcome

Greetings, Danbold, and welcome to Wikipedia! I'm glad to see you here - I hope you like the place here and decide to stay! I believe I may have talked to you before, but if I'm mistaken, which I very well may be, please correct me and I would love to give you the whole welcome spiel!

I'm glad to see that you figured out how to create a user page! On it, you express your dislike for red interwiki links, links which go to articles which have not yet been created. These are important to Wikipedia because it shows that there is a need for a page, and may inspire someone to create that very page. While I disagree with your interwiki link opinions, I respect them.

Anyways, thanks for joining! Feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. -zappa 04:33, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

Editing someone else's user page

I would just like to let you know that it is generally rude to edit someone else's user page, except for minor and obvious spelling and grammar mistakes. User pages are for self-explanation, not for fact. They do not adhere to the NPOV policy. I feel like I have all infomation as I like it on my page, and I would greatly appreciate it if you would please stop editing it. I rarely, if ever, make spelling or grammar mistakes on my page, as I double- and triple- check it after I am done editing something. It's not a big problem though, I would just appreciate it not happen again! Thanks a ton, zappa 04:37, 5 April 2006 (UTC) (talk)

Chess Lounge

Hey Danbold! Long time, no edit! I recently opened up my own personal chess lounge to hang out at, play chess, and build connections. I've set up a game for us. You are not required by any means to play, but if you wish to, the game is located here. Later! -zappa.jake (talk) 05:50, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

Hey, just wondering if you were still up for the game. You haven't moved in ten days, so just checking in to see that all is cool. It may be useful to you, if you have not already, to watch the page. -zappa.jake (talk) 20:56, 5 May 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism Revert

Hi Danbold. I noticed via Recent Changes that your talk page was vandalised, and I reverted the changes. Logical2u 21:15, 21 April 2006 (UTC)

PS: Also, two people saw this at the same time. That's why there are two reverts.

Wow, your page actually got vandalized. That actually hasn't happened to mine, unless you count, well, nevermind. If you go to this website and enter the IP of the vandal (67.53.72.74), you will be able to find some basic information about them, such as their location, which is in Virginia somewhere. You will also find information about their ISP, but it won't give you information about the actual person. Anyways, just thought you'd think that was interesting! RfA

I notcied that you've left messages for Zappa.jake on his talk page, so I thought you mihgt want to vote in his RfA at WP:RFA. ShortJason 15:13, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

I apologize for ShortJason's advertising. Normally most people consider it unacceptable to advertise RfAs (Requests for Adminship) on people's talk pages. I have asked him to stop here. Regardless, now that it's here, if you do wish to vote, do so here. Sorry, zappa.jake (talk) 19:09, 27 May 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:Pop lawn.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Pop lawn.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 13:06, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Personal Question

Personal question (feel free not to answer): just wondering who you are in real life. I have it from a reliable source that you're a Trinity graduate, and that you're not the person I previously thought you were. Just wondering if I know you... -zappa.jake (talk) 08:22, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

No problem, I'm Dan Reinbold, Trinity Class of '05, and I live by the U of M in the POP men's household.Danbold 08:46, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Ahhh, I think I remember you. Thought you were Mister Wacker (Michael) for the longest time... -zappa.jake (talk) 09:19, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Wait a minute ... since when do POP stay up til 3am? Just kidding, not really, zappa.jake (talk) 09:23, 22 July 2006 (UTC) HahahaDanbold 09:27, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Welcome to Esperanza!

Welcome, Danbold, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. You can support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact our administrator general Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Alternatively, you could communicate with fellow users via our IRC channel, #wikipedia-esperanza (which is also good for a fun chat or two :). If you're new to IRC, you may find help at an IRC tutorial. I thank you for joining Esperanza, and look forward to working with you in making Wikipedia a better place to work!
