Orphaned fair use image (Image:Panania anglican church.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Panania anglican church.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Thanks for uploading Image:Wishfulthinkingband.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Wishful Thinking articles

[edit]

Hi Dan I have noticed your range of Wishful Thinking articles. You seem to have fully covered all aspects of the various EP / Album releases, yet you have left each one marked as a Stub. I am also concerned that none of them have any references, so they do not meet the criteria specified at WP:ATTRIBUTION. Note, WP:BAND pretty explicitly states that self-published information is not sufficient to assert notability of any musician, band or musical release.

Would you please add some independent sources to these articles and review their Stub status? For EP's which are no longer in distribution , if you aren't adding more to the article now then it is very doubtful new information will come to light at a later date. Thanks - but please, don't top-post on talk pages use the + button on the toolbar. And please sign your comments on talk pages only.
I will be away / slack till Anzac day (25 April). After that I will probably look back over my recent contributions and if they are in the same state I will take them to an AfD - where in current condition they would be deleted as "no assertion of notability".Garrie 05:49, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Sansalvadorbandlogo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Sansalvadorbandlogo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:18, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like you may have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia, at 2SSR. Please do not add such material without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is San Salvador (band). We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/San Salvador (band). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:13, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
