Hi DanTD. Currently, I am in the middle of improving the History of the Long Island Rail Road article. I have been adding historical content and have been adding references. Since I know that you have done a lot of work on the LIRR articles, when you have a chance, could you help me out with this. Thanks. --Kew Gardens 613 (talk) 16:53, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
- Anytime I find something, I'm always willing to help out with this one. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 17:30, 22 May 2016 (UTC)
NRHP unused images
Hi there. I noticed some of your edits to this page, such as this one. I just wanted to make sure that you know that page is updated by a bot, so your edits will just get overwritten. You can select files there to include in articles, but deleting items from that list will not cause the bot to take them out of its database. I hope it helps. Jane (talk) 15:49, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
- Then what does? You'd think the fact that they were being used would remove them from the database. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 15:53, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
- Well I am not exactly sure, since I never paid much attention to it. You can put a question on this on the NRHP talk page, or on the talk page of erfgoedbot. It's just that I am pretty sure there are more forces at work than just usinng the pictures in articles. Maybe you need to take the photos out of the NRHP catagory on Commons? Why are you removing them anyway? You don't need to use them but they are just image suggestions. But if the images are simply incorrect, then they are probably in the wrong category on Commons. Jane (talk) 19:59, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
- Many of them were in the generic NRHP category until I moved them to their proper places. Then once I discovered which articles and lists they belonged in, I added them there, making them used images. There are others there that I'm leaving alone because many of them are tagged for deletion, mostly over copyvio-related issues. Some others I just have some doubts about. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 22:18, 24 May 2016 (UTC)
- OK I see someone else has posted false positives here: User talk:ErfgoedBot. Maybe it has something to do with the coordinates? It's a bit troubling because we are so close to September now, and I would hate to see misbehavior in this bot during WLM!!! Jane (talk) 07:55, 25 May 2016 (UTC)

Sunday June 5: Women in Jewish History Edit-a-thon
Sunday June 5, 12-5pm: Women in Jewish History Edit-a-thon | |
---|---|
Join us for a full Sunday of social Wikipedia editing at the Center for Jewish History (drop-in any time!), during which we will create, update, and improve Wikipedia articles pertaining to Women in Jewish History. All are invited, with no specialized knowledge of the subject or Wikipedia editing experience required. Expanding coverage of Jewish women on Wikipedia makes these women and their creations discoverable, addresses the gender bias on Wikipedia in a positive way, and works to correct imbalances archival collecting practice and institutional projects that have historically silenced women's narratives. A training session on editing Wikipedia will be held at 12:30 pm. Experienced Wikipedians will be on-hand to assist throughout the day. Please bring your laptop and power cord; we will have library resources, WiFi, and a list of suggested topics on hand. Light refreshments will be provided. Make edits! Ask questions! Be bold!
Newcomers are very welcome! Bring your friends and colleagues! --Pharos (talk) 15:01, 1 June 2016 (UTC) P.S. Stay tuned / sign up early for our June 15 WikiWednesday and other upcoming events. |

Old Union County Courthouse
I'm a strong opponent of G4 deletions in cases when an article is useful; had this been a decent article, I wouldn't have deleted it. It was basically a substub. Do you feel like writing a new article? Aside from NRIS, the only source used in the article was [1]. Nyttend (talk) 15:06, 1 June 2016 (UTC)
Remember that Georgia nominations have recently gotten online; you can find more information (which wasn't online when the article was deleted) at [2], plus the Georgia County Courthouses TR form. Nyttend (talk) 15:07, 1 June 2016 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for June 12
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Spuyten Duyvil and Port Morris Railroad, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page North Brother Island. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
