Captain (football
[edit]You should be aware that such a page already exists at Captain (football). Not sure what the correct deletion policy is for the page you've created but I suspect it may not be long before it is deleted. Dpmuk (talk) 10:28, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of FA Premier League 2004-05 Review
[edit]Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Proposed deletion of FA Premier League 2004-05 Season Review
[edit]The article FA Premier League 2004-05 Season Review has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Original research, redundant to 2004–05 FA Premier League.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. – Hysteria18 (Talk • Contributions) 15:52, 20 September 2009 (UTC)
Hello.
[edit]Hey there. Sorry for deleting your articles. But thank you for coming forward and communicating about the issue. It is a right step. Now as to your articles, I have asked for some Wikipedians to write on your page and help you re: the issue and all the articles that you have been making. But just a small note on me: the articles you are creating are more or less covered somewhere else and you would do best to improve on the ones already established. Hopefully a few others would have more to say. Kind regards.Calaka (talk) 10:48, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
- Yes it most likely will (but that decision will rest on an administrators opinion). I mean there is already this article: 2004–05_FA_Premier_League so there is no need for the review/summary that you made. Check this link out aswell: WP:OR. Also check this out: Wikipedia:New_contributors'_help_page#User_needs_help._User:DanMeister1234. If you need any more help do not hesitate to ask. Cheers.Calaka (talk) 12:14, 22 September 2009 (UTC)
An alternative way to save your article
[edit]You expressed concern about possible deletion of an article you are working on. There's an experiment in progress specifically for cases such as this. See Wikipedia:Article Incubator. If this option makes sense to you, see item 2 under "how it works". You can move the page and avoid the deletion police (assuming no major issues such as copy violations). Add the template as noted in item 3.
Hope this helps.
If you have any questions about how to accomplish this, let me know.--SPhilbrickT 12:53, 22 September 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Aston Villa FC 2004-05 Season
[edit]A tag has been placed on Aston Villa FC 2004-05 Season, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:
You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Pianoplonkers (talk) 17:34, 24 October 2009 (UTC)
The article South Africa vs West Indies at 2003 Cricket World Cup has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- I don't know if there's a CSD category for this, but this was a group match in the 2003 Cricket World Cup, and we don't have articles for individual games (except the Final) in a tournament.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

[edit]Please do not replace Wikipedia pages with blank content, as you did to the page South Africa vs West Indies at 2003 Cricket World Cup. Blank pages are malicious to Wikipedia as they often confuse readers. If it is a duplicate article, please redirect it to an appropriate existing page. If the page has been vandalized, please revert it to the last legitimate revision. If you feel that the content of a page is inappropriate, please replace it with appropriate content. If you believe there is no hope for the page, please use the deletion process for how to proceed. tetraedycal, tetraedycal 17:13, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not replace pages with blank content, as you did with this edit to 2003 Cricket World Cup group stage, as this is confusing to readers. The page's content has been restored for now. If there is a problem with the page, it should be edited or reverted to a previous version if possible; if you think the page should be removed entirely, see further information. Thank you. 2004-05 - What the dickens?
[edit]What exactly are you trying to achieve by putting details of EVERY SINGLE MATCH from the 2004-05 Premier League season on its page - apart from cluttering it, of course? You're not going to be able to get details of all (approx.) 380 matches on the page. Why not put the match summaries onto the individual pages for the club's seasons instead? For example: 2004-05 Charlton Athletic F.C. season. Look and learn mate. Imlikeaboss (talk) 08:41, 22 July 2011 (UTC)
