Hi

Hi D climacus, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry if my response to you on my talk page yesterday sounded snappish at all: if it did, I can assure you that it wasn't meant to be. You were acting in good-faith, and I hope you're not feeling upset or unimpressed at all by my response. Thanks for all your work. Best. Acalamari 20:43, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

This was not vandalism. That was me reading the page wrong and thinking he had added the italics. Said italics should not be present in the prose, so he's the one that's right here. I reverted his original edits in that regard due to reading it wrong. Sorry for the trouble. Thanks. Gavyn Sykes (talk) 23:17, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

Use of rollback at Bratz2: The Movie?

Please explain why you reverted an edit by User:Spears154 on Bratz 2:The Movie (which I subsequently deleted)? The edits by User:Spears154 appear appropriate to me as he or she was removing unsourced content. You deleted only seconds after the edit was made so I'm wondering how you saw this so quickly and why you saw it as vandalism?--Doug.(talk contribs) 14:11, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

I cant see what your talking about because you deleted the article . But, I may of reverted the user on accident or if they didn't put a Edit summary explaining what there doing. I don’t remember. I revert lots of Vandalism on here. Sorry if i Did something wrong. We all make mistakes on here. I have absolutely no issue with that user. Thank You for your concerns regarding this matter. I will take a look at the Policies and guidelines--David - (Wikipedia Vandal Fighter). 17:24, 4 September 2009 (UTC)

Note: This is from User talk:Bidgee page)

I see that you just removed all of the photos that I just added to the weather articles. I just wanted to thank you for reverting all of my edits. Have a wonderful day. --David - (Wikipedia Vandal Fighter). 08:19, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Bidgee's action were appropriate. As he explained in the edit summary. Aaroncrick (talk) 08:30, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

I just wanted to thank you for reverting all of my edits.--David - (Wikipedia Vandal Fighter). 08:39, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Per what Aaron has said, also the quality of the images were poor, some article already have enough images and also see the the images add very little value (This is not personal it's just basing a non-POV on the images not yourself). Also DO NOT use the rollback as what you have done (See: Wikipedia:Rollback#When not to use rollback). Bidgee (talk) 08:40, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Sorry to tell you this. I see Administrators and other users do what I did all of the time.--David - (Wikipedia Vandal Fighter). 08:50, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, but I highly doubt it was rollback. They would have more than likely used Twinkle, Huggle or Popups. If you continue to use Rollback in the wrong manner it may be removed. Aaroncrick (talk) 09:00, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Please don’t threaten me. Your trying to draw me into a personal argument. I'm not going take the bait.--David - (Wikipedia Vandal Fighter). 09:10, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

It was the rollback feature (See:this diff) you used however as Aaron said other users/Admin's may have used a script (Note the TW in this diff). I suggest that you stop your bad faith comments. Bidgee (talk) 10:35, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, that's an interesting conversation. 'David the Vandal Fighter' told me off for removing the word "admin" from a claim on his userpage that he could be contacted on his talk page to discuss his "admin actions" (thus implying he was an admin) and so I took a look through his account and it's pretty obvious to me that it's a sock. Anyway, I came here to tell you that I reblocked the IP and account of that guy who keeps spamming his website to the Albury article. He's blocked for a week this time but if it continues with other new accounts or IPs could you please give me a ping and I will sprotect the article for a while. I will try to keep an eye on it but I don't use my watchlist much anymore so I might not see it. Trust all is well with you. Cheers, Sarah 05:32, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
User:Sarah I didn’t tell you off. I told you [1]. "If you find another user's user page that has something to correct, it is considered polite to raise your concerns on the user's talk page". Please don’t start bad rumors about me. Thanks--David | Talk 21:58, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
The above is entirely disingenuous. "David" your comments here User_talk:D_climacus/Archive._August_2009#Userpages indeed do detail your chastisement of Sarah despite her correct actions. Indeed at that time, rather than now, you then agreed with her actions and apologised with the words Thank you for your comments regarding this. I learn something new every day on here. Sorry for any inconvenience that I have cause (sic) you. Others please note I have left a caution at David's page to remind him that Wikipedia is not a battleground. Best wishes to all.--VirtualSteve need admin support? 23:04, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

Huh? What a load of rubbish[2][3]. Next time you tell a load of lies about being the first time talking to me, get your facts straight. I've given you a chance but you blew it. Bidgee (talk) 23:24, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

WP:CIVIL

Hi, please don't make ridiculous accusations. You don't seem to like how I've agreed with Bidgee about removing your images you've added to articles. You then reverted his edits using Rollback and I said, "If you continue to use Rollback in the wrong manner it may be removed." You should have read the rollback instructions given to you when you received rollback and you'd then be aware that you only use rollback on vandalism cases only. You said "I see Administrators and other users do what I did all of the time," which is not the case (I hope). I said, "Sorry, but I highly doubt it was rollback. They would have more than likely used Twinkle, Huggle or Popups." Saying I was threatening and Taunting you isn't an appropriate statement. "Your trying to draw me into a personal argument" is also incorrect. Thankyou. Aaroncrick (talk) 10:11, 6 September 2009 (UTC)

Bidgee and images

Saw your comment on Bidgee's talk page. Interestingly, he's resisted removal of his own images from NAB article against my argument that the images add little value (photo's of NAB buildings without reference in article). I guess it's different rules for some ... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.170.240.166 (talk) 21:49, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Britney Spears' songs

Hello David.
I would strongly suggest you undo your closure of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Britney Spears' songs, and let an admin handle it. WP:AfD's are almost exclusively closed by administrators, and non-admin closures are reserved to a very limited cases.
Kind regards, Amalthea 22:38, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

 Done --David | Talk 22:45, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
Thank you. Amalthea 23:01, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

Your various edits at Sarah's talk page and Bidgee's talk page are not appropriate. Wikipedia is not a battleground and I provide you with due caution that if you continue to follow editors around to make bolded repetitious comments you may be blocked for disruptive editing, or attempted harassment. I should also add that I too have been very concerned by your user page and the way that you did make it appear that you were an administrator. That page has not improved much as yet - and your actions there and the others that I refer to above are not at all conducive to your stated intention of gaining an administrator position.--VirtualSteve need admin support? 22:52, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
