How you can help

--D Rhindle, I see nobody actually welcomed you to Wikipedia with one of these templates with links, so, hi, and I hope this is helpful.

There are a lot of people editing here, and it can be really fun. But it's not primarily a social network, so things like your club are discouraged, and friendships come along as people work together. We have WikiProjects, though some of them aren't very active; have a look at the video games one, you might find people there asking for help with working on Atari articles. More generally, the Teahouse is a place for new editors to ask questions, with some very friendly Wikipedians available there to help.

You're making a lot of errors with the formatting; most strikingly, if you have a space to the left of your text, the text will display as typescript. To indent, use one or more colons. Also, you're signing manually rather than using 4 tildes (~~~~), which formats it automatically. I notice you're using the mobile interface, which everybody tells me is horrible; that may be part of the problem, but for the signature, there will be a button or a pull-down somewhere (above the edit field?) marked with either a pencil or a squiggle that enables insertion of the 4 tildes on keyboards that don't have that symbol. On the other hand, you may be signing manually because you want to sign as "Atarifan" or "Atarian". Unfortunately your signature must have at least a link to your registered user name. Here's the full policy. If you want to change your name, here's where to request it. If your chosen name is taken, maybe on another language Wikipedia (log-ins are unified, so the same name can't be used by different editors on different Wikimedia projects), then you can change your signature in your "preferences" settings to display differently from your user name, but it must still link to your user name and it can't display as someone else's user name.

Chin up, thanks for joining us and keep editing (although you should look at our verifiability policy and supply references for your changes). Yngvadottir (talk) 21:37, 2 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
