A tag has been placed on 4th Earl of Dunraven requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.horseracinghistory.co.uk/hrho/action/viewDocument?id=970. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here. If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Technopat (talk) 17:26, 9 June 2013 (UTC) The article Franci Demšar has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Karl 334 Talk--Contribs 19:26, 11 June 2013 (UTC) References and datesHello, I have fixed up the reference you added to Edward Snowden but in future could you please fill out the details of references and not just put the URL to a website. For news citations it is best to use the "cite news" template and include at minimum the publication date, title of article and name of source (newspaper etc.) Also please note that we do not use ordinals like 1st July, we just write 1 July (or in the present case, since it is about an American subject, July 1). It would also be very helpful to other editors if you could fill in the edit summary box to say what your edit consisted of. Thanks -- Alarics (talk) 19:25, 1 July 2013 (UTC) Hello, D Eaketts. You have new messages at Alarics's talk page. -- Alarics (talk) 08:15, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template. "minor edit"Hello. If your edit is minor, you can tick the checkbox to tell people that. "minor edit" as a description doesn't really work - for instance, removing David Jacobs from the Radio 2 presenters list might be minor (and erroneous, at least for now - and even after Aug 4th he will continue to present occasional programmes for the channel), but doesn't tell anyone why you removed him - and I see from your edit history you've been doing that a lot. Better edit summaries would be appreciated. Stephenb (Talk) 13:47, 22 July 2013 (UTC) Disambiguation link notification for July 23Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited David Jacobs (DJ), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Radio 2 (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject. A tag has been placed on Coal Grill and Bar requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with YTV Playtime. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. Do remember to add your source before someone reverts you for not having one. Just add the place you saw this to the talk page, I'm sure someone will turn it into a reference for you. Britmax (talk) 13:14, 1 December 2014 (UTC) Direct copying from source in Ebola virus disease in the United Kingdom articleIn your edit here, you've used wording directly from the source article: for example, both the source article and your edit use the words "Cafferkey who is battling Ebola at Royal Free Hospital in London, could be offered plasma from patients who have survived the virus." and also "Other available treatments include antiviral drugs, but there are no stocks left of ZMapp - the drug used to treat William Pooley". I've removed your edit from the article for this reason. You are allowed to use other sources as sources of facts, and sometimes similar wording is impossible to avoid (eg. "the sky is blue") but wholesale lifting of whole phrases and sentences is not allowed. even if you cite the source, unless presented as a direct quote (and even then, use of such quotes itself requires justification to meet the fair use exemption under U.S. copyright law). You should also avoid close paraphrasing from a source. -- The Anome (talk) 19:48, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
