Your account has been blocked indefinitely from editing because of the following problems: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site, which is against the username policy.

You may request a change of name and unblock if you intend to make useful contributions other than promoting your business or organization. To do this, first search Special:CentralAuth for available usernames that comply with the username policy. Once you have found an acceptable username, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with your new username and replace the text "Your reason here" with your reasons to be unblocked. In your reasons, you must:

  • Disclose any compensation you may receive for your contributions in accordance with the Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure requirement.
  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
Appeals: If, after reviewing the guide to appealing blocks, you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal it by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your reason here" with the reasons you believe the block was an error, and publish the page. Orange Mike | Talk 22:42, 29 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

My name is Daniel R. Christopher. I am an independent Filmmaker and thus have chosen "DRCFilms" for a user name here on WIKI. I address the assertions made within the recent notice to me that my account was blocked below: Assertion 1)"the account has been used for advertising or promotion," My submission connected to my Wikipedia account regarding my independent Film entitled 'Saga of a Crew' DID NOT contain "advertising or promotion" but is intended to provide information, educate, and inform people of the existence of the Film, just as countless other 'Film' pages have. 'Saga of a Crew' holds an official US Copyright hence deserves to be searchable in such an extensive database as Wikipedia. There are other parties which by coincidence have 'companies' or 'businesses' of the same name which may explain why this assertion against me has been made- see below Assertion 2)"and your username indicates that the account represents a business, organisation, group, or web site" I DO NOT conduct a business using the name "DRCFilms". I have 'googled' the name 'DRCFilms' or 'DRC Films' and besides myself and reference to my Films I see other legitimate 'Business's' whom ARE NOT ME - as evidenced below: https://www.linkedin.com/in/daniel-carrales-087246190/ https://www.crunchbase.com/organization/drc-films https://www.dnb.com/business-directory/company-profiles.drc_films_llc.58fcd040f2ee7894b0f9db3d89a86444.html I decided that my Film is as deserving of a Wikipedia page as the countless thousands of other obscure and little know titles. The November 2017 notice for why my submission was not accepted stated: "This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject." I asked a few days ago for reinstating the page so I could edit and add additional references to address those shortcomings. Instead my account is blocked. I believe I have provided sufficient evidence to warrant that my account be UNBLOCKED. Thank You

Decline reason:

Wikipedia is not a promotional platform. You're not going to be unblocked if you're only here to promote yourself or business. OhNoitsJamie Talk 14:39, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Per WP:COI, WP:PAID and WP:PROMO you will not be unblocked to edit about your film. Lavalizard101 (talk) 14:05, 2 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
