A tag has been placed on User:D'Lights Event Catering, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

There have been two problems identified with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In this reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Acroterion (talk) 02:26, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Under respected chef

[edit]

Hi my name is Dean Light a professional chef with more that 22 years in the industry. I started off my career at the Hilton on Park Lane London where this gave me a real insight in to what the catering industry is all about. I found out very early on that I had huge passion for creating distinct and colourful dishes that I always seem to hit the fine line of flavour balance and the togetherness of each dish, this is very unique aS this also tests the customers pallet to the full.

Over my career it has spanned out to some of London's most prestigious and exclusive establishments. After being brought up in some of London's most toughest and sort after kitchens my repertoire had grown immensely and so I went on to head up my own kitchens and brigades until one day I was approached to be a personal chef to some of the most high profile music bands and celebrities. I took a quick decision and took up this offer where I went on to meet and cook for some extraordinary people, ie Oasis, Phil Collins, Pet shop boys, Kylie Minogue, Andy Williams (his very last tour), Shakira, Spice girls and many more to name. I was then approached to go and run a large and exclusive events company where this really got my repertoire working as every day an event was different and I love the fact of working with potential clients in designing their bespoke menu for their event.

My most recent position was Executive chef at Gilgamesh London which was another great experience as this was a Pan Asian restaurant so this was an whole new ball game when it came to creating dishes and menus.

But now I feel my time has come to do something for myself and start up my own event catering company doing bespoke and high profile events. Also after talking to so many of my suppliers that I've used it also made me think that I i want to put my expertise and knowledge together and also become a savoury food distributor to whole sale companies.

So the reason why I have set up this project is so i can get my own unit and equipment so I can fulfil my long standing ambition and have my own successful company. D'Lights Event Catering (talk) 22:20, 18 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
