A tag has been placed on Ridicule (Rapper), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Darkspots 22:48, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi Cypherous! I've created this user page and put the content from Ridicule (Rapper) onto it. What will happen is that, probably, the page that you've created in the mainspace (your article) will be deleted. We don't have articles on Wikipedia that don't assert the notability of their subjects, which is the state of your current article. You can use this user subpage (and you can create your own for new articles whenever you like) to build your article, then move the content to the article (which you can recreate anytime after a speedy deletion). Sorry if this all seems unnecessary. Please contact me on my talk page if you have any questions. Thanks, Darkspots 23:04, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Ridicule (Rapper). If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Darkspots 23:27, 23 May 2007 (UTC)
Hangon
[edit]Ok, you can't add the hangon tag when the template is prod. Basically, if it's a pink template that says it should be speedy deleted, then you can add the hangon tag under the speedy tag. BUT, if it's saying "If this isn't fixed up in 5 days" like the one on that article said, then you can't put the {{hangon}} tag on. AND NEVER remove deletion tags. never never never! The hangon tag only goes under the speedy tag.danielfolsom 02:38, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
- I don't agree with this. You may remove {{prod}} tags, in fact they explicitly say so. --Abu-Fool Danyal ibn Amir al-Makhiri 04:35, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
Iron Crescent
[edit]Hello,
The articles for the group and two of its members have been put up for deletion. Feel free to comment here. It seems you were still working on the article adding links and the like. If you have reports from newspapers or other independent media, please do add them.
Cheers, --Abu-Fool Danyal ibn Amir al-Makhiri

Merging an article
[edit]- How do you merge an article together?? I wanna incorporate 2 side articles to one main page focussed on the whole topic...but i have no clue how to do it. I need to merge in order to provide sufficiant references.. User: Cypherous 16:25, 30 May 2007
- All you have to do is copy the text from one article and paste it into the other one. Then you can edit as necessary. The page that you copied the text out of can either be changed to a redirect, or you can tag it {{db-author}} (if you created the article in the first place) to be deleted. Regarding Sources
[edit]Hey. Noticed you decided to add some references to the Treacherous article. While that is good, I just want to warn you that most editors will likely not consider them reliable, largely because they come from self-published websites. You might want to try including references from e.g. newspapers, magazines, well-known websites, etc. See WP:BLP#Sources for more. ikh (talk) 04:27, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
