User talk:Cyde/Ref converter/list

This was created in the following manner:

1. Open up Special:Whatlinkshere/Template:Ref.
2. View the HTML, and copy the lines beginning with li into the page.
3. Use the javascript replace function(available from WP:US) with the following regex: <li><a href="/wiki/(.*)" title=".*">(.*)</a> [(]inclusion[)] </li> into # [http://teamgamer.org/cgi-bin/wikirefs.pl?pageName=$1 $2]
4. Remove the blank lines that seem to show up.(I used emacs, but I'm sure there is a better way)
5. Remove the few lines that didn't translate for whatever reason.
6. Save the page.

I'm so tempted to make a companion script to WikiRefs that does this but in an entirely automated fashion. I think I shall get it done over the weekend. --Cyde Weys 23:00, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
