You are making it difficult to implement change

[edit]

[Moved from User talk:Fnlayson]

You have officially made it difficult to implement changes to the F-5 Freedom Fighter article. The reason for this is because you are subverting my reference process which creates a type of "what links here". This 'What links here' will help implement phase two of my "Recognition Study Card" Project, which involves eventually copying the entire cards and having the reference point towards these photos. Then again, maybe I'm the one being picky here... cause I guess I could still do that by making a manual list!!! Bah! Anyways. --CyclePat (talk) 04:52, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That looked like a user page not a template. You have the reference formatted incorrectly with the bolding and so forth. There was an [edit] button showing up for that reference as well. -Fnlayson (talk) 04:55, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yes! That is a template from my userpage. Also, the "edit" button,in the ref. helps readers, such as yourself, find the reference and edit it. It helps people make WP:BOLD edits to the reference. This is my methodology of working. The thing is, this is a methodology of work and when you make changes to this, it's like an insult to the ways I work. Though I know you have all the best intentions, in fact you have reformatted the citation to look a lot better (I question the format... I used easybib.com and that was the format they gave for Government Publications... This is not a book... Also... you're also more then welcome to make these changes on my user-subpage, the template on my user-subpage. That's why the edit button is there! Also, I prefer my method because frankly, those references are or can be a pain in the neck... to find... to make... to "repeat" (and I have to repeat this one 55 times in perhaps 55 articles)(NOTE: THERE ARE 55 Cards... like playing cards or trading cards). Finally, it's cleaner and simply put... I, like it (if you want to edit the reference you can do so right from the article)!!! It also helps give credit (such as myself or even you (for making the change) in this case in one location which concentrates on the reference) to editors that have put some work into formating the reference.
Also, The 'What links here' helps implement monitoring.phase two of my "Recognition Study Card" Project, which involves eventually copying the entire cards and having the reference point towards these photos. Then again, maybe I'm the one being picky here... cause I guess I could still do that by making a manual list!!! I digress... I guess you could also get a monkey to key in every article (of the 55 cards). Question though... (maybe this applies just as much to me) Why do we suddenly have time to do it over but not have time to do it right? ... Anyways. --CyclePat (talk) 05:02, 22 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
