Writing about yourself
[edit]I noticed that you moved your "user page", User:Cwdole, to a new name Wikipedia:Christopher Dole. I have moved it back, for two reasons.
- One is that pages beginning with the "Wikipedia:" prefix are not part of the encyclopedia, but are instead used for organising the project. You can read more about that at Wikipedia:Project namespace.
- The other is that the page is not suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia yet - it includes no references to reliable sources to show that Christopher Dole is a "notable subject" for an encyclopedia article. Roughly, Wikipedia only aims to cover subjects that other people have already written about in books, journals, respected news sources, and so on. There's a handy summary of this at "WP:42".
From your choice of account name, it also looks as if you are writing about yourself. This is not recommended and rarely works out well. Please see Wikipedia:Autobiography before continuing work on the page.
Sorry to be the bearer of this bad news. If you have any questions, please leave a message either here or on my talk page. -- John of Reading (talk) 08:44, 3 October 2014 (UTC)
