RfA

Hi,
concerning your RfA, I'm sorry to say that based on my experience, it has no chance of passing. 63 edits in the last eight months just isn't enough for the community to see how you handle things. Feel free to keep it open as long as you think it's productive, but don't be disappointed if it doesn't succeed please.
My advice to you would be to just go ahead and do the things you say you intend to do with tools: You can already do anti-vandalism wok. You can already help resolving edit wars (through dispute resolution -- few edit wars are ever resolved through blocks or protections).

Hi Curtis. I think it's fairly clear that the community is not going to support your request for adminship this time. Perhaps you would like to consider withdrawing it.If you want to help maintain the quality of the encyclopedia, you can also do some New Page patrolling. You might find this essay useful: User:Kudpung/Advice for RfA candidates. --Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 12:59, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
Hello Curtis23 , I'm sorry I just closed your RfA per WP:SNOW, because I don't think you'd have passed, at this time, given the rationales indicated by the opposers and wanted to spare you the bitter, stinging experience an Rfa can be; if you want your RfA to run for the entire week, however, you're of course entitled to revert my closure! Please, remember you're a valuable Wikipedian and your contributions are much appreciated; do run again, when you feel you've tackled all the issues highlighted by the opposers. See you around! Salvio Let's talk about it! 13:15, 18 June 2011 (UTC)

Adoption/help

‘Hi

I am looking for someone to help me or 'adopt me' so I can update the Olswang wikipedia page since I have experienced some conflict with another user changing/deleting additions we make to our page. As you seem to be a frequent editor for the ‘law’ page I thought it would be appropriate to ask for your guidance.

Could you perhaps take a look at the Olswang page and give me your thoughts? I have been trying to add in office locations, awards received and other general information in the history section, everything with its relevant source, however, the updates are removed by a used called 'mtking'. After a lot of conflicting thoughts on the page with this user I was blocked and do not want this to happen again which is why I am asking for your help

Kind regards Newsrooms (talk) 16:31, 28 June 2011 (UTC)

Curtis,

Why did you undo the edits to Leuren Moret? From what I see, they were factual and properly supported as required by the Wikipedia club rules - they don't like original research, but softball interviews by people who are completely unknowledgeable are OK. Moret is a self-promoter who uses Wikipedia as a promotional tool. Her latest claims are that US and Israel attacked Japan with tectonic warfare using the University of Alaska HAARP research facility. I don't know the person who made the edit you undid, but they clearly were on to this and came up with a reference to support it. I prefer real e-mail because I can forward e-mails and attach files. I have been researching Moret for at least six years and am the only person who ever made California Public Record Act requests (the replies to which are not considered acceptable by the club rules) on Moret's employment and service with the Community Environmental Advisory Commission in Berkeley. I have also contacted colleagues and learned more about her scientific education. She should not be considered an "Earth Scientist" - not unless you consider every person with a BS or BA in Geology to be an "Earth Scientist" - in that case, as a BA in Geological Sciences, I should be one too. I hope that you write me, Roger DUSTorydashowneratyahoogroupsdotcom Rhotel1 (talk) 03:49, 22 July 2011 (UTC)

Seems to be a troll, block is in order...--Cerejota (talk) 00:25, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

Why? Curtis23 talk to me 00:28, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

Same reasons as you, inserting material that didnt belong at all, new account, typical SPA behavior etc...--Cerejota (talk) 00:53, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

What material did I insert? What new account? I've used this one for 2 years. How am I single-purpose I edit TCs, Pro Wrestling, I try to stop vandals. I messed up once ok. Forgive me. I don't see how I'm trolling. Curtis23 talk to me 01:54, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

Dude, you totally mis-understood me. Same reason you initially posted the warnings in his page. I *know* you ain't vandal...This is funny, hahahahahahaha! :)--Cerejota (talk) 02:09, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

Oh. :D Curtis23 talk to me 02:12, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

hello curtis23. i recently changed the brandon, vermont arts section to something a little less advertising and written in a much less personal stance (the current article uses the article 'you' quite often). it seems this section is more for publicity for brandon than information on the art culture of the town. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.91.174.215 (talk) 03:14, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I felt this was marginal for a speedy on A7 grounds as any national award might be argued against the BIO criteria. I have converted to a PROD with an additional rationale. Thanks (talk) 03:51, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

You said my editt regarding Porcelain Black was unconstructive or something, because I edited saying that "La Dee Da Dee" is a confirmed track for her debut album. I don't see how what I did was wrong, when I know for a fact that the song I listed is indeed confirmed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.41.51.109 (talk) 04:03, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

This was not me

I did not do this edit which you claim I have done. Please reply. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.52.200.216 (talk) 19:40, 23 July 2011 (UTC)

Dear Sir or Madam,

I didn't vandalize wikipedia. I simply added links related to some subjects that are on wikipedia (option pricing). Somebody deleted my links yesterday in order to add his links and that's why I put my links again on many wikipedia pages. You can visit my website and you will see that it's linked to the wikipedia's pages considered.

Thank you

Sincerely

Christophe — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.217.98.83 (talk) 07:18, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

If my links are not appropriate I think that in this case you have to delete all the external links on the wikipedia pages related because in this case they are not appropriate too. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.217.98.83 (talk) 07:23, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

Please read the article before and after my changes Please, please use your eyes..213.152.41.250 (talk) 07:48, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

These errors are easy to make with Huggle. I see you apologised. However, for future reference if similar errors occur, you might also remove the Huggle-generated report at Wikipedia:Administrator intervention against vandalism. (I have done it this time: just a word of advice for teh future.) JamesBWatson (talk) 07:55, 28 July 2011 (UTC)
