Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~)
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put
{{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.Sincerely, Crtew (talk) 23:41, 14 January 2014 (UTC) (Leave me a message)
First steps
[edit]Greetings Chris. I'm so glad you've selected course as you explore your major. You're off to a good start as you have created an account, enrolled in the course and messaged me. I'm wondering, however, if you forgot to save your user page? Write a brief bit of information about yourself for the Wikipedia community and be sure to use your editing skills from the tutorial, such as creating a bulleted list of interests and some wikilinks to articles. Assignment
[edit]You have been assigned to expand upon and perfect the currently assessed stub article of French-language, crime journalist Michel Auger of Canada. He wrote a book called The Biker Who Shot Me: Recollections of a Crime Reporter, and it looks to me like that may be where the current non-referenced information in the article originates. However, you can also independently source the information in the article from other publications and the press. He has won some important awards in journalism but his Wikipedia article is not good. There is also a French language Wikipedia article about him that is no better (but might have some further clues). French Work on the article here: User:Crseifert/Michel Auger Crtew (talk) 01:54, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
