Image copyright problem with Image:6mmxc.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:6mmxc.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).
The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}
.
Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Hetar 04:06, 18 April 2006 (UTC)
Image copyright problem with Image:65lineup.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:65lineup.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Fair use image on your user page
[edit]Hi Crimson30. I've removed the Magic: The Gathering image from your user page. It's a fair use image which means that it can't be used on user pages. Perhaps you can find a freely licensed alternative. For now I've replaced it with the text "mtg". Let me know if you have any questions. ~MDD4696 03:37, 12 October 2006 (UTC)
your recent edits
[edit]Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia! You recently added an external link to an internet forum in an article. It has been removed because the link pointed to a non-encyclopedic source. Please refer to Wikipedia's policy on external links for more information. |
Image:65 grendel.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:65 grendel.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original Replaceable fair use template.
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that any fair use images which are replaceable by free-licensed alternatives will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. --Chowbok ☠ 06:53, 25 November 2006 (UTC)

More replaceable fair-use images

Please be sure to subst user warnings
[edit]Hi there, in your recent warning at User talk:68.146.211.148, you had {{uw-vandalism3}} whereas you should have {{subst:uw-vandalism3}}. Please see WP:SUB for more information. Regards, Flyguy649 06:27, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
Please don't report vandalism when there are only improvements. I removed unpertinent messages and added an entry in the historical landslides. Someone before me did the actual vandalism. My change hasn't even been reverted. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.48.136.229 (talk) 17:04, 11 February 2007 (UTC).
If the vandal is the IP address itself, try reporting the IP. If this is a bunch of different usernames you'll need to request an audit by listing the names. If any match, they and the IP will be blocked.
Sorry about the vandalism...
[edit]See, I am in a family of 9. I leave my Wikipedia account always logged on. My brother is Erik, not me. Please accept my apology for his stupidness. I would never do that.DrSatan 01:09, 16 February 2007 (UTC)

Magic: The Gathering theme decks
[edit]A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Magic: The Gathering theme decks, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Boss1000 02:08, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
If you don't recall, you briefly agreed that it would be fine to delete this article. It's really just a list of a few different decks, which is certainly not encyclopedic. If anything, most of this information, like horrors and modular, should go in each set's article, where it probably already is. Anyway, if you changed your mind, give me a shout. - Boss1000 02:08, 17 July 2007 (UTC)
- Fine by me. I created the article to offload bad content from a good article in the first place (without having to worry about fighting with anyone). I've always believed the content to be lame and unworthy of a wikipedia. --Crimson30 13:25, 20 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit]You may notice a strange edit in the above article's history, where I rolled back your edits, and then immediately rolled back my rollback. The rollback is usually done to revert vandalism, so even though I immediately undid the edit, I wanted to drop you a note explaining that that was simply a misclick on my part.--Fuhghettaboutit 12:30, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:NATIC.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:NATIC.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:05, 7 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit]I made a DRV almost immediately after your note, here, and must apologize for not dropping you a note sooner. If you look at my contributions you'll see a great and unusual drop in activity the past week or so; I've been very busy in real life. I never saw it as an attack page, but rather an article that had solely negative content about a living person, and used just one source to verify that negative content, which was not done through inline citations. The DRV looks like the opinion is to restore and stubbify, removing the copyright violating content others have noted. Regardless of the outcome, I do no think it is a good practice to have negative articles on BLPs such as this without multiple inline citations. Cheers.--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 14:32, 14 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the DRV. By the way, I don't see how it's a negative article. It simply presents facts about his actions that make him noteworthy. Crimson30 (talk) 15:17, 16 September 2008 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. The file File:Meta Circle.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Orphaned, no indication of a possible encyclopedic use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. B (talk) 14:56, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
