Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of NIB Bank, and it appears to include material copied directly from https://www.linkedin.com/company/nibpk.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on NIB Bank, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hi, thanks for message. Please note that you should not remove speedy deletion tags or copyright notices yourself, especially if you have not attempted to fix the issues. It looks as if you are acting in bad faith if you do so. I deleted your article because

  • The article was a copyright violation of the bank's LinkedIn page. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. The LinkedIn page is marked LinkedIn Corporation © 2015. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient. But in any case the copyrighted text is far too promotional to be useful for Wikipedia's purposes, so there would not be any point in your jumping through all the hoops that are required.
  • it did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. The only reference was the bank's own website, not an independent source.
  • it was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: NIB Bank is one of the largest foreign banks in Pakistan... Bank continues to serve its customers for all their financial and banking needs... The Bank’s resolve to provide world-class financial products and services to the banking population of Pakistan is driven by its key business units... iconic... the nerve centre of the Bank’s footprint in Pakistan.
  • it's all about what the company, little about the company itself other than locations. How many employees? Turnover? Profits? Has the company ever received negative publicity? Who are its competitors?
  • We are trying to make a page for NIB Bank on Wikipedia... We want to put the same text as on other websites and social media pages, but we are unable to.— Note that you are not permitted to act on behalf of an organisation. Your phrasing and user name suggest that you are acting directly or indirectly on behalf of the bank. You may have a conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that your organisation is notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. See also Wikipedia:Best practices for editors with conflicts of interest.

Tag

[edit]

I've removed the tag since the problem has been fixed. For future reference, note that this type of tag, which is just suggesting improvements rather than proposing deletion, can be removed by you (or any other editor), if you are happy that the problem has been fixed Jimfbleak - talk to me? 11:27, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Ellen Adarna DP.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 07:03, 12 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
