Request reason:

I was provocked into an editing war by FlightTime who himself noted that my original edits on the Pink Floyd "Money" page were in good faith. He was not an admin or mod of that page, yet he felt the unncessary need to keep on threatening me with heavy handed warnings of policies against "original research". I despise people who act like they own the place even when they don't. He even threatened me on my own talk page. I believe I deserve to be unblocked. I did not engage in any edit wars in all the years i've been editing on wikipedia until today. I am an avid Pink Floyd. I just get overzealous sometimes. I will be more careful about posting unsourced edits. I will avoid edit wars from now on.Craigevans2 (talk) 19:56, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'm very sorry. I was wrong. Its my fault alright!? I got banned yet again from something in my shit life! I was provocked into an editing war. my original edits on the Pink Floyd "Money" page were in good faith. I retaliated too much. I believe I deserve to be unblocked at some point. I have been editing in good faith since 2011. I have never been banned before. I did not engage in any edit wars in all the years i've been editing on wikipedia until today. I am an avid Pink Floyd. I just get overzealous sometimes. I will be more careful about posting unsourced edits. I will avoid edit wars from now on and I will avoid retaliations. That's what I really should have done instead of becoming involved in an edit war. If I really need to I will seek a dispute resolution rather than retaliate. I am very sorry. This is all my long windied way of saying that my behaviour was wrong for the site and I will never do it again.Craigevans2 (talk) 21:15, 2 November 2024 (UTC

Decline reason:

You are blocked, not banned; there is a difference, the words are not synonyms here. Like FlightTime, I too think you can return to productive contributions- but unfortunately this request doesn't do it for me. I would like to know what specific steps you will take to avoid edit warring such as how you will resolve disputes(hint) and what you will do when you get a little overzealous(which you kinda do in this very request, at least based on the first line) so that you don't go off the rails again. Again, I think you're almost there, and I hope the next admin sees fit to unblock you, but it's not time yet. 331dot (talk) 07:54, 3 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
