Your TTC system map

[edit]

Nice map, but it is not Crosstown specific. It is relevant to what the TTC system will look like in the future and belongs with that discussion. Secondarywaltz (talk) 14:59, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. It is relevant, however, since it graphically represents what is described in text ... it so happens to put everything in perspective within the system (and that article highlights the crosstown in the intro; as well, for example, the templates are systemic). I have also edited the caption. I am unwilling to spend time to create a specific map for the LRT when a systemic one exists. Craftwerker (talk) 15:04, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I presume the templates you refer to are the Navboxes which allow people go between related articles. This map and caption are about the system in general and only have a passing reference to the Crosstown line, which is already fully detailed in the Infobox route diagram. Wikipedia is not all about the placement of your map. I have contributed numerous photographs relating to transit in the GTA, but there is no need for those to be randomly inserted to satisfy my own agenda. Secondarywaltz (talk) 15:49, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, and I have since edited the caption to focus on the crosstown line. Its placement is by no means random and I am unsure of what agenda you are referring to, since the purpose of adding this map is to simply show the future crosstown line amidst the rest of the TTC rail network when completed, alongside the text station listings for the line. (The infobox route diagram is not...as simple.) If your photos did not include a crosstown-related element, they would rightly not belong ... but that is not the case here. I would prefer another editor weighing its relevance before signing off on its inclusion or exclusion. Craftwerker (talk) 15:59, 26 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

April 2015

Information icon Hello, I'm Iryna Harpy. I noticed that you made a change to an article, List of sovereign states, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page.
Note that i100 does is not a WP:RS. Please familiarise yourself with what constitutes an RS and what is self-published (as had already been noted by another editor after your previous use of a WP:SPS immediately before for this section of the article). If you have queries/comments, please take them to the article's talk page.

Eglinton Crosstown stations

[edit]

You have made a mistake in your count. The 15 stations at Mount Dennis, Keele, Caledonia, Dufferin, Oakwood, Eglinton West , Bathurst, Chaplin, Avenue, Eglinton, Mount Pleasant, Bayview, Laird, Don Mills and Kennedy will be underground. The 10 stations as Leslie, Ferrand, Wynford, Bermondsey, Victoria Park, Pharmacy, Lebovic, Warden, Birchmount and Ionview will be at grade. Secondarywaltz (talk) 13:18, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, mybad! The system map reveals 12 stations along the underground component - but, apparently, the Mount Dennis, Don Mills, and Kennedy stations will also be underground. Sorry about that. Do we need a reference for that? Craftwerker (talk) 14:14, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Honest mistake, because the tracks are at grade outside those stations. Secondarywaltz (talk) 14:23, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Yep - apologies. Do we need a reference for it, so that others do not fall into the same...trap? ;) Craftwerker (talk) 14:25, 28 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

2023 map

[edit]

Now that the Finch West LRT has provincial approval - and more importantly, a 2021 target completion date - would you be able to look into adding it to your 2023-era map? Radagast (talk) 16:16, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I am working on it now, and I will update it shortly. :) Craftwerker (talk) 16:20, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Done [1] - if you have any questions/comments, let me know. Craftwerker (talk) 17:30, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Great stuff! Only concern is that the names for Wilson through Glencairn are grey when they should be black. Radagast (talk) 19:17, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Ack! Thanks. Fixed now! If there is anything else, let me know. Craftwerker (talk) 19:50, 30 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

You can get the same effect of [[planet|planets]] as you did here, by instead doing [[planet]]s. You shouldn't see a difference between the two ways: planets and planets. Somehow the linking code understands that a trailing 's' is making a plural out of the link, and then shows all of that together as the underlined link. It's... less typing?   :-)   Shenme (talk) 02:14, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the tip! :) Craftwerker (talk) 02:41, 12 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
