Thanks for experimenting with Wikipedia. The links you added to the page Cigarette have been removed. Please do not add commercial links—or links to your own private websites—to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or a mere collection of external links. You are, however, encouraged to add content instead of links. See the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thanks. --AbsolutDan (talk) 15:59, 29 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello - I removed the link you mention primarily because it was added "bare" - in other words, just the plain link was added, and it does not serve as a citation for any of the text in the article itself. Wikipedia is in need of more content, not more external links.
If you truly feel that your link is more helpful then other existing external links, bring it up on the article's talk page first, and allow other editors of the article to determine the value of the link. Also, please review WP:SPAM#How_not_to_be_a_spammer and let me know if you have any further concerns or questions. Thanks --AbsolutDan (talk) 12:48, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Sure go ahead. Thanks for taking the time to follow that process. --AbsolutDan (talk) 12:28, 5 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for Image:PARLIAMENT.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:PARLIAMENT.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 15:05, 6 June 2006 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:West brand.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:West brand.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use.
