The article Kelly Sadler has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:1EVENT applies

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. reddogsix (talk) 04:08, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. power~enwiki (π, ν) 18:16, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The article is no longer salted, but do not recreate it with the words "No longer salted", or it will just be re-deleted. Seriously, please try to understand how we work here or you may find yourself blocked just for sheer lack of editorial competence. Sandstein 06:27, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, Sandstein. Administrator Dekimasu ‎wrote that it was still salted (it wasn't) and I didn't know where to look if it was or was not unsalted. The only way was to test to see if it would accept an edit. Sorry if there is an unsalted noticeboard that I don't know about. Cowding Soup (talk) 22:29, 19 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Arbitration discretionary sanctions alert

[edit]
This message contains important information about an administrative situation on Wikipedia. It does not imply any misconduct regarding your own contributions to date.

Please carefully read this information:

The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.

Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.

Regards, Sandstein 21:32, 13 May 2018 (UTC) What does this mean? That any edit about post-1932 American politics may be objectionable to Sandstein and that she can do anything? I can't think of any post-1932 article that I want to edit but this box is odd. Who is writing up these boxes? Cowdung Soup (talk) 22:56, 13 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You contributed to the article on Kelly Sadler and its deletion discussion, which falls under the topic area the notification is about(as she works for President Trump). It is a notification only, regarding sanctions issued by the Arbitration Committee in that topic area, and is not tied to a specific user. As it states, you have not necessarily done anything wrong.
The reason I am here is to request that you change your username at WP:CHU; names that involve bodily wastes can be offensive to other users. 331dot (talk) 08:07, 14 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I am willing. I kept picking names (make more than 10 tries) and they were all taken or similar to ones taken. Some were not really similar but still not allowed. How do I request another name that is not taken? Is there a master list? Cowdung Soup (talk) 02:43, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You can check if a username is available by going to Special:CentralAuth. 331dot (talk) 03:05, 15 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Criticisms of medicine (2nd nomination)

[edit]

I have undone your non-admin closure of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Criticisms of medicine (2nd nomination). I have no doubt this was well-intentioned. However, this article has recently been through DRV once already, so no discussion about its fate should be closed early (as a SNOW closure or for any other reason). Additionally, NAC closures of AFDs with consensus to delete... don't really work, as only administrators have the tools to actually perform the deletion process. Again, I'm sure that you were trying to be helpful, but this one really needs to run its full course. Squeamish Ossifrage (talk) 05:18, 27 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

TheFamousPeople.com as a source

[edit]

Hi Cowding Soup. I noticed that you recently used thefamouspeople.com as a source for biographical information in Bianna Golodryga. Please note that there is general consensus that thefamouspeople.com does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for such information. (Discussions here and here). If you disagree, let's discuss it. Thanks. --Ronz (talk) 04:05, 26 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
