Welcome!

Hello, Cordobaes, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Shavkat Raimqulov, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may soon be deleted.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}} on this page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. The article Shavkat Raimqulov has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Alpha Quadrant talk 22:45, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The same problem exists with Mukhiddin Khudoyrov. It will be deleted unless references are added soon. It was already deleted once for lack of references and you have re-created it. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 23:57, 25 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Osmondagi bolalar, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.mcomet.com/movie/Malchiki_v_Nebe-936610.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. The article Kakhi Makharadze has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Article about a footballer who fails WP:GNG and who has not played in a fully pro league.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. License tagging for File:Logo lokomotiv tashkent.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Logo lokomotiv tashkent.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 14:05, 26 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:This is a logo for Lokomotiv Tashkent.gif)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:This is a logo for Lokomotiv Tashkent.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 05:12, 23 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Bunyodkor - Famous Players

[edit]

Hi Cordobaes, I noticed you added back the notable players section, I have removed it again for the following reasons:

  • The phrase in the inclusion criteria "significant contributions" is far too vague to be of any use. Your idea of a significant contribution and mine will be completely different and such aphrase essentially ensures there will be a degree of OR in the section
  • Bunyodkor are a pretty significant team in the region. As such it is unsurprising that they would have a significant number of international players. As such, simply being an internationally capped player at the club is not in itself notable.

There arent any hard and fast rules about such sections as these, though personally, I thnk they contravene WP:NOT#STATS as they always contain no sourced prose, but it would be better to include criteria such as "capped more than x times internationally", "made more than x league apearances for the club", "scored more than x league goals for the club" where x was greater than 50, 300 and 50 respectively. Fenix down (talk) 07:43, 16 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, thanks for your message, unfortunately you seem to completely miss the point. Firstly, the fact someone has taken time to create something does not mean it should stay, otherwise there would be no AfDs. Secondly, you have not even attempted to address the issue of OR that is inherent in an inclusion criterion including the words "significant contributions". Thirdly, you have not attempted to address the issues with WP:NOT#STATS, rather than random lists of players, if truly notable, these players should be incorporated into sourced prose outlining the history of the club. Finally ,thanks for pointing out the other lists on my talk page, I have removed them for the same reason. Simply having a minimum of one cap at some point in your career does not make you notable at any specific club, the length of the lists at Spartak Moscow and FC Rostov were ridiculously long. Surely you see that their very length detracts from any claimed notability of the players mentioned (the FC Rostov list is more than half the total length of the article. Finally, could you please remember to sign your posts. I don't want to get into an edit war, so if you are keen to add them back, might I suggest that you take the matter to WT:FOOTY where consensus can be established rather than just the feelings of you or I. My personal view would be, if tables must exist one for the top ten appearances and goals at a club and perhaps international caps earned while at the club (not before or after) would suffice and would add clarity rather than a random braindump of names that helps no one and is essentially unencyclopedic. Fenix down (talk) 14:02, 17 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
HI. Yet again I have removed the famous players section from the Pakhtakor article because you still have not addressed the inherent OR issues by using the inclusion criterion "significant contributions". As I said in my previous message, if you disagree with me, as you clearly do, please take this to WT:FOOTY where we can look to gain concensus on this issue. Please do not revert again without seeking concensus. Fenix down (talk) 07:45, 19 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Navbahor Namangan Logo.png

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Navbahor Namangan Logo.png. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 15:41, 27 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Deletion

[edit]

To have an article on Wikipedia, a subject must meet certain inclusion criteria called notability. For footballers, there are two relevant notability guidelines: The general notability guideline, which says that a subject is notable if it has received significant coverage in reliable sources, and the football-specific notability guideline, which says that a footballer is notable if they have played in one of the fully professional leagues listed here. You'll note that the Uzbek League is not listed. It was removed from the list recently, since the source supposedly confirming the leagues fully pro status did not even mention professionalism. Absent other sources confirming the league is fully pro, playing in that league does not confer notability, as any claim to meeting the relevant guideline is unverified. In the case of the 11 proposed deletions above, the footballers in question had received only very little coverage beyond routine sports coverage, meaning they did not meet the general guideline either. I hope that clears things up. Sir Sputnik (talk) 22:07, 9 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
