Hi Cootdog,
Welcome to Wikipedia. I've left some links above which are intended to give you some advice on how to get started. Mystic Roots was written like an advertisement, with sentences like "Always in tune with the spirit of love, here to spread positivity through music globally and make a difference, we give you...Mystic Roots Band." and "Today cootdog, Katherine, Dane, Cricket, Marko and Alec are now working tirelessly on the band’s third release and playing countless shows wherever they can spread their message." Wikipedia is intended to be an encyclopedia, with a formal tone and sentences that are written objectively.
I have no doubt that a great article on your band can be written, but it should be one in which the article makes claims that can be supported with reliable sources. If your band has hit the top of the charts, you should definitely say so, but also source the statement (provide a link, or the page number to the issue of Billboard which verifies the statement). The sources you use should be independent of the subject: reports in the press, etc. Every sentence should be backed up with a source that other people can verify as true. Your Facebook account is not a reliable source. Take a look at other articles on bands to see how they are written. Better yet, avoid a potential conflict of interest by having someone outside of the band write a new article for you, one which will show through good, solid sources why Mystic Roots is important. Best wishes and happy editing, Firsfron of Ronchester 13:34, 18 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
