Welcome!

[edit]

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! | Uncle Milty | talk | 00:58, 23 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with this account

[edit]

Hello, thank you for your edits. However, please be careful making edits on your own company or institution. I've added an explanation of this below - a standard message.

In addition, I'm sorry but your username also breaches Wikipedia policy since accounts are meant to only be used by one person and not shared. I suggest that your staff create separate accounts (Chris@CooperGradProgram etc.) and you may get asked to change it or re-register. Blythwood (talk) 21:02, 25 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, CoopGradProgram. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your circle, your organization, its competitors, projects or products;
  • instead propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page. Thank you. m.o.p 23:01, 25 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Good afternoon! Thank you for this review. I was, unfortunately, not aware of the username policy.

Requested username:

Request reason:

I think, if the page is to be approved and published, that it should be maintained in the most fair way possible - In addition, the Cooperstown Graduate Program Alumni are located in multiple articles, and I would like to be able to maintain this account as a student of the program in order to view and perform edits on articles that might relate to museum studies. CoopGradProgram (talk) 19:58, 1 February 2016 (UTC)

Accept reason:

Allowing username change to requested username. Please put this request in at Wikipedia:Changing username as soon as possible to avoid re-blocking. PhilKnight (talk) 23:55, 1 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Cooperstown graduate program

[edit]

The article Cooperstown graduate program has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Little to no independent sources to verify notability or accuracy. Created by person with a conflict of interest.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
