Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your edits to Nick Cotton, please use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made, reduces edit conflicts, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the article will look like without actually saving it.

The "show preview" button is right next to the "save page" button and below the edit summary field.

It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance. Thank you. AnemoneProjectors 17:50, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

EastEnders Sharon and Phil

[edit]

Hi. If you watched Friday's episode properly you'd have heard Sharon say that their divorce is nearly finalised - Phil needs to contact his solicitor before the decree absolute can be arranged. So they are still married - please stop changing it. Thanks. anemoneprojectors 19:41, 28 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. Hi there, re: this edit, though I know you meant well, and your contribution is appreciated, mundane marketing techniques like trailer releases, poster releases, an actor appearing on a talk show, are not inherently noteworthy. Please see WP:TRAILER for more info. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 22:02, 20 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, please stop adding content about mundane marketing techniques like trailer releases as you did here. See my note above. WP:TRAILER represents existing community consensus. If you wish to edit against consensus, you will first need to achieve local consensus in each article you edit. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:19, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Coolagrawal1999. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, can you please stop changing the reference I inserted to confirm Max's Christmas Day return to the BBC's cast list. As I already explained several times in my edit summaries (which you ought to be checking if you don't understand why your edits are being reverted), the cast list does not confirm that it is Max's return episode, but there are several news sources that do confirm it. Thanks. anemoneprojectors 12:58, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Date ranges

[edit]

Hi, regarding this edit you made and other similar ones, please don't. I spent a long time changing these, and explained them in my edit summaries. Wikipedia's MOS was changed recently at MOS:DATERANGE, and now clearly states: "Note: A change from a preference for two digits, to a preference for four digits, on the right side of year–year ranges was implemented in July 2016 per this RFC." However, it doesn't apply in tables or infoboxes with limited space, so please don't change those to match. Thanks. anemoneprojectors 23:37, 27 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

EastEnders character creators

[edit]

Hi, can you please stop adding the names of creators to the infoboxes of characters without supplying a reliable source? It is not necessarily the executive producer of the time that creates the character, so please do not assume. If you have proof that someone has created a character, you must cite your source. Thanks. anemoneprojectors 15:33, 4 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Starring parameter of film infobox

[edit]

Hi there, re: this, "Starring" is not the same thing as "appearing in". A starring credit is a special credit that an actor usually negotiates for. Thus, we shouldn't be inventing starring credits. If you add to this field or change the values, you should provide a justification that is consistent with the infobox guidelines found at Template:Infobox film, where we typically include the names found on the poster's billing block. Since many Indian film posters do not include starring roles in the billing block, an alternative would be to use the film's on-screen credits. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:30, 7 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Arbitrary reordering of cast

[edit]

Please don't reorder cast as you did here without providing a clear explanation in an edit summary. This tends to look like you are entertaining your personal preferences (ex: "I like this actor better, so I'll move him up." or "I think this actress has more seniority in the industry") rather than adhering to community guidelines like the instructinos at Template:Infobox film, which is what we should be doing. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:01, 12 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of awards and nominations received by EastEnders, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page James Bye. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Running totals

[edit]

Re: this, are we setting a precedent that all films featuring actors who have collaborated before should contain a running total of all the films they've starred in together? When we get to a dozen films, will that be too much, or enough, or...? Bing Crosby and Bob Hope appeared in about 7 "Road to ___" films, but I don't see any attention drawn to this at Road to Singapore. There's nothing at MOS:FILM that would suggest this is of any academic use. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:14, 6 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thugs of Hindostan

[edit]

Re: this, as previously noted on your talk page, we don't organise cast based on perceived "seniority" in the Indian film industry. I'm not particularly inclined to revert your edit, because I don't happen to care about the credit order, but changing it arbitrarily like this is not constructive. Nobody's going to die if Aamir Khan is listed before Amitabh Bachchan for a few months. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:25, 8 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

As I've previously noted above and in January 2017, please stop arbitrarily reordering cast as you have again done here. Your remedy at this point is to open a discussion on the article's talk page to seek consensus. If you make the change again without consensus, it will be considered disruptive. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:21, 16 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Coolagrawal1999: [About it]. Please provide me link where I can find that YRF denied this statement. Harsh Rathod 10:53, 15 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[About this]. You have been warned two times for it. So now take this level 3 warning.

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing.

Now let's talk about deletion of white spaces. I delete white spaces simply because of this reason: It decreases the time taken to process the page by the servers. Suppose for instance if the time taken by the servers to process the page is 148 milliseconds then the page with deleted useless spaces is processed in just 122 milliseconds. Now if you ask what is the point in this? Then I would reply I do this just for the heck of it. And it is not at all disruptive.

Also, as explained by Bomberman. Please stop reordering cast. Wait, for the trailer or film to release and then we will make the order in accordance with credits. If you do this again, the warning level will be increased. Harsh Rathod 11:52, 27 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Ownership

[edit]

With regards to the edit summary on this edit, please read WP:OWN. "No one "owns" content (including articles or any page at Wikipedia). Please do not issue little "threats" in edit summaries to try to prevent other editors from altering your edits. That is not how wikipedia works. Every time you make an edit you agree to the Terms of Use, and you irrevocably agree to release your contribution under the CC BY-SA 3.0 License and the GFDL. Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Kishore Kumar, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Outlander07@talk 10:06, 6 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]
