Help me

[edit]

How do I change the colors of my signutare? I want the cool part to be orange and the will part to be red. CoolWill (talk) 16:15, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Go to Special:Preferences and scroll down to the "Signature" section. Check the box saying "Treat the above as wiki markup." You can add HTML to change the appearance of your signature. You can use this code to do what you wish:
[[User:CoolWill|<font color="orange">Cool</font><font color="red">Will</font>]] [[User talk:CoolWill|talk]]
This will show up as CoolWill talk.
Make sure you don't accidentally leave out links to your userpage and user talk page. GorillaWarfare (talk) 17:11, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Do you want a color for the "talk" part too? It only shows up as black on this page, as it is where the link leads directly.  Hazard-SJ  ㋡  17:24, 26 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Help me (again)

[edit]

I need the templates that are above the Welcome! section to my user page. For some reason, I can't edit. Thanks! Cool Will 14:50, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also, how do I have my talk page archived? Cool Will 14:51, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
For the first question, you can either use the "Edit" button at the top of the page, which will open the entire page for editing, or you can go to your My preferences page, select the "Gadgets" tab, check the first item after the "Appearances" header and click the "Save" button at the bottom of the page.
To learn about archiving your talk page, you might want to start by looking at Help:Archiving a talk page. Hope that helps! —DoRD (talk) 15:10, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Like this? (see top) Also, I heard that the bot was not working. Is it now? Cool Will 16:08, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Your archiving setup appears correct to me and the bot's recent edits would seem to indicate that it is working. ;) —DoRD (talk) 16:23, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
So, what was the problem? Cool Will 16:24, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

What problem are you referring to? The bot? From User talk:Misza13, I see that there were some problems that I wasn't aware of. And there are are currently some issues with the toolservers causing other bots to shut down, but I don't think the archiving bots are affected. —DoRD (talk) 16:36, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Can't edit

[edit]

Note: Please change this from {{help me-working}} to {{Admin help-helped}}

I can't edit from this IP address: 66.206.115.182. Please find out what's wrong and fix it. Thanks! Cool Will 16:31, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The block on that IP address should not prevent logged-in users from editing. If you aren't able to edit, you will need to provide us with the message you see when you try to edit. —DoRD (talk) 16:36, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. I'll post a picture on my talk page of it.Cool Will 19:36, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it didn't work, but I have posted them on Picasa. The ablum name is Wikipedia Block. The link is [1] Cool Will 19:56, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies, I misread the block log which actually does indicate that logged-in users are unable to edit. I will contact the blocking administrator. Please be patient. —DoRD (talk) 20:04, 27 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I have reasoning to believe that I didn't completely log-in to Wikipedia. Cool Will 14:18, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Can it just be unblocked for one day? Cool Will 16:28, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Question

[edit]

See below  Question: Would a home IP address be a shared IP address? Cool Will 21:32, 28 March 2012 (UTC) Many times, it is, as quite often, ISPs give their customers similar IPs.  Hazard-SJ  ㋡  23:20, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You are suspected of sockpuppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/WBJB03. Thank you. Look, you seem to have a lot of enthusiasm about editing here, but you've really not started out well. It should be obvious by now that any new accounts you create will eventually be discovered and blocked. I am pretty sure that you mean well, so I'd like to make a suggestion to you: Stay away from trying to edit Wikipedia for at least several months, preferably a year or more, until you are able to grasp our policies and guidelines and work within our community of editors. Perhaps then we can extend our standard offer to you. If, on the other hand, you continue on as you have, making additional accounts, and making a mess of things, your chance of being welcomed into our community will have been wasted. It's your choice. —DoRD (talk) 02:45, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Here are my reasons to be unblocked: 1)I do not know WBJB003, 2)This IP: (66.206.115.182) is a school IP, in otherwords, a shared IP by everyone in the school, and 3)the help when you edit allowed me to see other things without asking for help. Cool Will 14:28, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

The accounts have been linked by more than just the underlying IP. — Daniel Case (talk) 14:43, 29 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
