RE: Ain't Goin' Down (deleted article)

The article could be restored in accordance with Wikipedia:Proposed deletion#After deletion. Is this your request? - Rjd0060 (talk) 14:33, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I would like to request that the article should be restored please. I also found a live bootleg recording on YouTube which makes it clear it is a GN'R song rather than an Axl Rose solo, but in that version he announced the song as "I Ain't Goin' Down", so we now have potential confusion over the correct title! Adam Lambert straw poll on including/removing "Order #" and "Results" columns from the performances section

Hi, this may seem rather trivial but I'm trying to gauge community consensus on including or removing "Order #" and "Results" columns from the performances section on the Adam Lambert article which you have been in some way recently involved. The poll is here. Your time is appreciated. -- Banjeboi 21:34, 8 August 2009 (UTC)

Whose Responsible This

A discussion over whether or not to delete the article, Whose Responsible This is taking place here. Your input would be appreciated. Thanks. Friginator (talk) 19:09, 19 September 2009 (UTC)

RE:TALK PAGE

To be honest, no. If you going to leave that much stuff on my talk page, I'm not going to go the extra mile to read it all. While the artist does pass WP:N due to his single Opera #2, his albums do not, as there is no information on any of them whatsoever aside form the track listing, which does not meet WP:NALBUM. Hi ... just a friendly note to mention that I think you may have inadvertently forgotten to sign your entry at the AfD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Shells (folk band) (2nd nomination) that begins "That's actually my point too."--Epeefleche (talk) 02:29, 16 October 2009 (UTC)

Deleted article Todd Hall?

Greetings. I was surprised to find that Todd Hall the lead singer of Burning Starr and Harlet has no Wikipedia article, but I note there was a Todd Hall article which you deleted. Could you please tell me if the article was about Todd Michael Hall the singer or Todd Hall the preacher or some other Todd Hall I've never even heard of? Contains Mild Peril (talk) 21:36, 17 October 2009 (UTC)

It was about a random college kid. Stifle (talk) 10:06, 18 October 2009 (UTC)

Lady Gaga discography

There is an ongoing discussion at Talk:Lady Gaga discography#Other appearance concerning the appropriateness of including Lady Gaga's credits as songwriter on tracks performed by other vocalists. As you have previously weighed in on the "discogrophy" vs. "songography" question at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Discographies/style, I would like to invite you to contribute your opinion to the debate. --Peter Farago (talk) 08:31, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Hello

my opinion, as someone who has hoarded, is that it refers to crisps. I am assuming that is the assumption of the cite of the blockquote, but is an assumption. In my apartment I would not have necessarily had ready access to more liquidy chips v. a bag of crisps that became unattended then becomes refuse to be dry inedible and left around. Hoarders tend to see the mess that might occur so, in my case,I might leave crisps around but would have picked up a can of half eaten food or oily soggy fish and chips. Not to say it dosent happen, but that is my read of the colloquial and the experience I have had. Hope that adds some clarity, from my opinion. Peace rkmlai (talk) 14:24, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Well my initial response to your comment is a caution to assume the the kids would chuck it out. Specifically, my mom hoards stuff, so there is a genetic and learned behaviors, both of which would probably more predispose kids to _not_ throw out anything that was in the house of someone they were growing up when the parent would be upset for disposing of things, least it be 'important'. I have trouble myself distinguishing between what is 'important' v.'not important' cause my mom has it too, and I believe this is the learned and genetic portions that contribute to family generational patterns of hoarding. I fear that good examples of decernment is lacking in hoarders, IMHO. rkmlai (talk) 21:27, 23 December 2009 (UTC)

Vandalism of biographies of living persons

Are you trying to prove a point by adding unreferenced nonsense to biographies of living persons and using false edit summaries. e.g. [1], [2], [3]? Please stop it. Voceditenore (talk) 09:33, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Yes, it was an experiment. My edit summaries were not false, merely economical with the truth. My intention was to find out whether such nonsense would be noticed and reverted as quickly as usual, or whether (as I feared) it would get lost among the current brouhaha about unsourced BLPs. Well done for demonstrating that this is not the case and that Wikipedia is still functioning. Incidentally, I also made some legitimate edits to the Morten Harket article including reverting someone else's nonsense, so I undid your revision then removed my test edit. I apologise for any inconvenience caused, but I felt this was an important experiment to conduct. All the best, Contains Mild Peril (talk) 09:42, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
It was a disruptive and dishonest "experiment". Once I saw that you had done that with two BLPs, I rolled back all your contributions to Morton Harkett on sight and will do so again if you continue with this disruption. Please cut it out. Voceditenore (talk) 09:53, 24 January 2010 (UTC)
OK, I've stopped already. I know it was naughty but the disruption was minimal and no real harm was done. Since admins apparently have carte blanche these days to cause as much disruption and harm to the encyclopaedia as they see fit, I considered this to be negligible by comparison. Please be assured I have no plans to add any more such silly nonsense to articles. I'm back to fixing things now. Contains Mild Peril (talk) 10:24, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

Discussion invitation

British Royalty Hi Contains Mild Peril/Archive 1, I would like to invite you and anyone watching who shares an interest in moving forward constructively to a discussion about Biographies of Living People

New editors' lack of understanding of Wikipedia processes has resulted in thousands of BLPs being created over the last few years that do not meet BLP requirements. We are currently seeking constructive proposals on how to help newcomers better understand what is expected, and how to improve some 48,000 articles about living people as created by those 17,500 editors, through our proper cleanup, expansion, and sourcing.

These constructive proposals might then be considered by the community as a whole at Wikipedia talk:Requests for comment/Biographies of living people.

Please help us:

Ikip 03:48, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

(refactored) Ikip 03:44, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank you for your comments at User:Ikip/Discussion_about_creation_of_possible_Wikiproject:New_Users_and_BLPs#Projectification. The true test will be whether the community supports such an idea.

I have asked the main creators of project article incubation to chime in, to see if this is a viable alternative. I look forward to their responses. Thanks for your comments, and I hope to work with you again soon! Ikip 03:44, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

Anymore comments on Projectification?

Anymore comments on: Projectification? I want to know the pros and cons (especially the cons) before I propose it to the wider community, your opinion is vital, thanks. Okip (formerly Ikip) 03:02, 8 February 2010 (UTC)

Warning

Your sockpuppetry and/or meatpuppetry goes against Wikipedia's WP:SOCK and WP:MEAT guidelines.

It is blatantly obvious that User:Snig27 is either your sockpuppet or your meatpuppet. This account was only created a few days ago and, as of this posting, has only edited OMC (band) and its discussion page. See contributions.

Only 17 minutes after my last edit and just over 24 hours after Snig27 edited, you randomly show up and edit OMC (band) for the very first time in your editing history, to re-include 4-all of us in the article, which I had removed as a non-notable, non-charting single with no source. It is not even on record at charts.org.nz. I'm a nice guy so I will not report you to Wikipedia:SPI this time, but in the future please refrain from abusing Wikipedia rules or you may find yourself blocked.--219.89.70.122 (talk) 02:51, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

Your assumption is quite erroneous. Feel free to report me to whomever you like: I have nothing to hide. I have no connection whatsoever to User:Snig27. Perhaps you haven't noticed this phenomenon before, but the recent death of a lead singer generally tends to attract new editors to articles, and I would appreciate it if you would respect Wikipedia guidelines and try to assume good faith. As it happens, I arrived at the OMC (band) article because I looked at your contribution history after you made an erroneous edit to a-ha: I was checking in case you'd done the same thing in any other articles, i.e. referring to the band in the past tense even though they are still performing together until December this year. I noticed that you'd made several edits to the OMC article so I had a look at that while I was there.
I have reverted a recent edit because notability guidelines are intended for article subjects and do not directly limit article content, and I see no evidence of consensus to exclude this relevant and sourced information. If you still think it ought to be removed, I suggest you seek consensus on the article talk page. Contains Mild Peril (talk) 09:44, 21 February 2010 (UTC)

Hello, I note that you have commented on the first phase of Wikipedia:Requests for comment/Biographies of living people

As this RFC closes, there are two proposals being considered:

  1. Proposal to Close This RfC
  2. Alternate proposal to close this RFC: we don't need a whole new layer of bureaucracy

Your opinion on this is welcome. Okip 02:03, 24 February 2010 (UTC

RE: OMC (Featuring Lucy Lawless) =

Just a note to say I reinstated the single you claimed was by Lucy Lawless, which you erroneously deleted. I have a copy in front of me: OMC (Festuring Lucy Lawless), with a big OMC logo which takes up half the CD. She was just a guest vocalist. There are many online references to back this. The writer split on this record was 45% Jansson, 45% Fuemana, 10% Lawless which kinda says the same thing too.(preceding comment unsigned. Just to set the record straight, I was the one who reinstated the information deleted by another editor Contains Mild Peril (talk) 21:33, 20 March 2011 (UTC))
